Looking at it from GGG's perspective it's easy to see why he is wary of fighting Ward. Andre Ward is a lightheavy and GGG is a Middleweight. Good big man beats a good little man. Ward is not a TV fighter.
I really hope this one happens and I think it will, but not anytime soon. I mean, it's not like Ward was an A-side superstar, became inactive, and upon his return the public was waiting eagerly for his return. It's sad, but yes, he needs to be relevant outside of Oakland. No one knows who he is outside of Oakland. He needs to beat Kov, Degale, or Bute or even Pascal, those guys are much better known than he is. Ward is a very religious guy, I'm surprised he doesn't have a huge following by now, he'd be like the black Manny Pacquiao. I think he's been marketed wrong for most of his career. Hopefully Roc nation can help him with that. Ggg is just in such a great spot right now to unify 160 and then move up to 168.
haha, the hypocrisy "so there's no use pretending like you're a rational adult. Go eat a bag of your own sh*t, f@ggot." in this post is too strong.
Wow. So your saying people who root for Mayweather are smart? Have you ever looked at any sort of United States education statistics involving....never mind, you wouldn't understand.
In what world do you move up a division to fight a larger, possibly better, and totally unpopular fighter who doesn't even have a title when: -You are currently unifying 2 titles -2 of the 3 PPV fighters in the sport are fighting for the lineal and WBC titles in your division and you are the mandatory for the winner of that fight -The other titlist in the division is totally willing to fight you ?
God damn, this kid had a temper tantrum LMFAO. I forgive you though, I know it's hard and frustrating seeing bummy knock out bum after bum and being the laughing stock of the boxing world. He doesn't want to man up to his daddy Ward simply because he wants the chance to fight a shopworn midget. atsch:rofl I'd be upset too knowing deep down inside my hero is a coward, I hope you feel better bro. :-(
Kelly Pavlik did it with Popkins:deal Also the Ring Magazine title is not the Major titles as is WBC< WBA< WBO< or IBF.....IBO is not a Major world title either.. which is pretty much the question you asked... so dont bring up the ring magazine title to try to make a point
I would totally try and make a fight with the guy who is bigger than me and better than the other three sure-fire paydays, for peanuts. Especially if he's been jerking me around for the last three years and has a reputation as a total diva. Even better is if you are the main attraction, but he thinks that he is. I'd cancel a title unification with another big draw on PPV and see if I couldn't convince the other guy to fight somewhere else but his hometown with his own personal ref. Yeah, yeah, that's totally the clever course of action. roll:
