Why are you against Ward-GGG fight?

Right. K-2 was looking for a middleweight opponent for months after the Murray fight, and not a mention from Ward.
They looked for an opponent for 2 months after the Monroe fight and then finally, after they come to terms with Lemuix, they get an offer from Ward. NOT at middleweight though. Not even at a catchweight. Not next either. Nope. Early 2016 instead of fighting the winner of Cotto-Canelo. Oh, 50/50 money split also, after Ward had absurdly bad ratings on BET and GGG sells out MSG for an HBO PPV.
Think about it, this whole Ward/Roc Nation situation is a complete ****ing joke. I understand you falling for their bill**** if your an ignorant casual, but if you are a astute follower of the game it seems to me yould have to be pretty dumb to think that is an offer that shouldn't be rejected immediately.
I am a bit disturbed it took 36 minutes to reject it, but I guess that means they actually read the whole steaming piece of **** and thought about it for a minute or two.

 

Ward said it took 5 minutes in the interview with Fight Hub. More contradictions.

 

So when Abel said Andre Ward is a liar he certainly cannot be sued for it.

 

No. Its not like they accused Ward of using PEDS. Man Ward should become a lawyer. He could sue anybody he wants without having to pay out of his azz. I heard that Jay Z had to help pay his legal bills that he racked up against Gooseen.

 

I haven't read the contract and neither have you so you can't speak on whether it was a complete joke or not. If you choose to believe GGG's team version then that's your astute business. When GGG first came on the scene he is the one who opened his mouth and said he would fight anyone from 154 - 168 bar none. His ass was called out on that statement by Ward and he don't want none. That's black and white. If he wanted the fight, all that in between mess can be worked out. He don't want the fight and I don't blame him cause Ward would stop his forward progress and expose his vulnerabilities. My problem with him is that he's acting like he would fight Ward and he knows he's lying. He and his team knows that it's more profitable staying at middle and faking like he would actually get in the ring with Ward.

 

Pavs also didnt have any options at 160 at that time.

The only money fight for him at 160 was Abe, who's team had ZERO intention of coming to Vegas or NYC and there were RUMORS abounding about Abes unnatural power.

Point being, Pavlik was the A side MW in 08 and he'd just seen Winky Wright get a career high payday to go to 170 and meet BHOP, and he had to feel that he was the better fighter and thought the payday was worth postponing his MW ambitions.

I'd also like to add that Pavlik was not sober during that period. His career was already on the skids, and he judgement was not sound.

GGG has a great team and has great self control.

He's gonna earn 3X Pavliks pay vs BHOP for this Lemiuex fight even if it tanks with 200K buys.

And we ALL know it will break 400K and possibly 500K if the Canadian Lemiuex supporters show up in the PPV adds.

Point is.....totally different ballgame.

In 08 it was Pavs, Abe, Winky(ret), PWilly and Martinez still deciding their wieght class(just like Canelo and Andrade).

None of Pavs MW contempararies has the fan base to raise ticket sales like Andy Lee, Canelo, Cotto, Lemiuex and even Quillin FFS.

MOF.....I'd say Danny Jacobs has a larger fan base than did Taylor.

And I know for FACT that Eubank Jr is gonna be a HUGE PPV event in the UK if somehow he rematched a newly crowned WBO titlist BJS and wins.

If he brings GGG to Wembley.....with HBO PPVs blessing for all the bells and whistles in late 2016. (Assuming GGG wrestles the WBC title from Sulieman). We might be talking 700K buys and a 20 MIL PPV star.

Pavlik drank his potential away and ****ED his earning potential down the urinal with his boozing. :---(

There are literally 4X as many threads calling or turning into Cotto vs GGG threads.

There are 4X the # of threads calling for GGG vs (insert random 154-168) fighters than there are for CW Ward.

I'd love to see GGG vs Ward at 164 for even $$$ on HBO PPV.

But first, Wards' gotta prove he's still a SMW, and secondly, prove he's still the BEST SMW.

Everyone knows Ward was the LARGEST SMW in the tournament. And that was half a decade ago.

Can he even make SMW anymore. And how would he handle someone like DeGale, Jack, Chudinov, Feigenbutz, or Ramirez?

Let him beat some top 10 SMWs at SMW or below and then maybe he can consider resendning some reasonable offers for 166 or 168.

Sadly, JayZs probably gonna be paying his own lawyers in about 15 months when Kathy Duva sues him for Andre backing out of a signed between HBO, Main Events and Kovalevs mgmt.

The fight will be completely billed, the date set, the venue paid for, HBO will be on board with millions for each fighter, and Ward will back out, sue Main Events, sue HBO, and sue Roc nation and then sign with Al Haymon.

Y'all know he was suing Goosen to get out of his HBO deal and sign with Haymon right???

He was trying to jump ship to Showtime to fight BHOP before BHOP proved his loyalty to GBP and came back to HBO with Oscar.

So, Ward signed with Roc so he could fight BHOP, but Im sure theyre trying to get BHOP down to 166.

 

Ward cant make 168 anymore without possibly hurting himself. His body fat was very low when he weighed in at 171.5.
