Why are you fans tolerating Wlad fighting a guy with 14 fights?

Wlad is NOT the lineal champ.

And who the hell else should he fight ?

Ali: Leon Spinks ? Alfredo Evangelista ? Chuck Wepner ? Jean-Pierre Coopman ?

Holmes: David Bey ? Marvis Frazier ?

    Frazier: Manuel Ramos ?

To me the skill difference between Wlad and Chisora is about as big as Haye and Audley, make of that what you want.

I know, I just quoted someone who said he was on page 4.

Dimitrenko, Thompson. If he was gonna fight someone unranked, it might as well be someone with experience like Toney, Gomez, T. Ibragimov.

It's too late now though, and at least Chisora would get a good payday.

What exactly does the TS starter mean by "tolerate"? I am not real crazy about the Chisora so I should do what? Take hostages??? Perhaps a simpler recourse would be inorder...

F-it! In tetrospect the fight is fine.

The thread starter, and lets be fair to him, is a tool.

The obvious and irrefutable answer is that Wlad has gone through his two mandatories, been turned down by Haye and Povetkin, and is now just looking for whomever he can to get an extra fight in for the year. He should be lauded. But his man think we out to be going on hungar strikes or something.

    POST SCRIPT:
He is probably some derranged Haye fan who is trying to paint a moral equivalency with his paper champion fighting Harrison.

Excellent point. Despite the **** poor arguments of some people (Davo, sounding smart doesnt make you smart), Wlad is undisputably the #1 HW in the world, holds two of the "Big 4" belts, has defended his title 9 times, and in Europe is an enormous draw and has had far far far more visibility in the US than Haye.

He also has tried to fight everyone in the division and has been turned down by multiple fighters or the fight cannot be made due to Fighter B already having a scheduled fight.

So Chisora may be lousy, but he's no better or worse than anyone else

The fact is, Wlad deserves a pass for this fight. It's not his fault that the guys he tries to get don't want none of him. That makes for slim pickings out there.

    The facts:

Valuev = running from the Klitschko brothers. Like Wladimir said "There is no way his management would put him in front of one of us" referring to Valuev vs a Klitschko. This is a fight we wanted to see. It's not Wladimir's fault that Nikolai doesn't want to see him in the ring. The management problems didn't stand in Valuev's way when Haye was knocking at the door. That fight was made voluntarily when Valuev had a belt. Both brothers tried to get a fight with the guy too, but there's always a problem when it's Wladimir or Vitali asking Valuev to come out and play.:lol:

Povetkin = running from Klitschko. He ducked Wladimir TWICE and wouldn't take his mandatory title shot on both occasions. :patsch AP pulled out of the first fight with an alleged injury and didn't show up to the planned press conference for the second fight. He is allegedly "not ready". Will he ever be ready? Hopefully he fights Wladimir at some point. All roads lead to a Klitschko if you want to be the man in the HW division. Don't know about everybody else here, but I had never seen a fighter duck his own mandatory title shot before... until Povetkin.

Haye = running from the Klitschko brothers. He was offered 50/50 from Wladimir, but ducked him to cash in on the safer Harrison fight. Haye pulled out of fights with both brothers on different occasions. He seems to know that once he loses to Klitschko, riding on Wladimir's coattails are over. He has talked himself into fame plus a good UK payday with Harrison at Wladimir's expense. Haye will also be paid well if he ever decides to get in there with a Klitschko. I think he will cash out against Wlad at some point.

Adamek = is set to face Vinny Maddalone next. I think Tomasz will eventually get in there with a Klitschko. He may even do it after he takes care of Maddalone. He will lose to either Klitschko, but I believe he will take a fight with either. At least we can say that for him.

Solis = Not ready. His handlers seem to be trying to build him up to become the mandatory. When he gets there, I have a feeling he will take his shot (unlike Povetkin). He has a fight coming up.

Toney = DONE. Fighting this old, out of shape, hapless shell of a fighter would do nothing for Wladimir or Vitali at this point. Enough said.

Tua = Today's David Tua??? The man is DONE. Enough said.

Everybody else = is either a previous Klitschko victim or way too green.

Wlad fighting Chisora keeps him active. Chisora will be stopped spectacularly, but at least he's a better option than Toney at this point. I would have liked to see Wlad vs Arreola, even though Wladimir would dominate that fight. It would still be a good stay busy fight against a fighter he can look good against. And Wlad would have a chance to do something that Vitali didn't do -- knock Arreola out clean. :bbb

Wlad doesn't deserve any heat for fighting Chisora imo.

I'm not. I personally think its a disgrace that a man with 14 fights is in a "world championship" match. Yea I know Spinks fought Ali when he was like 6-0 or something and yes I know the Klitschko's have basically cleaned out the division. But there has to be somoene out there with more fights even if its a rematch with Thompson or something.

There's more for Wlad fighting Chisora than a rematch with Thompson.

He will get loads of English press and be able to put the heat on David Haye to fight him next. That is a very good strategy for Wlad.:yep

If Haye had not refused to fight Vlad we would be watching Vlad Vs. Haye. Nobody wants to fight Vitali or Vlad. Solis refused to fight Vitali! Povetkin refused. Tua drew with Barrett! Tua did not want to fight Vitali or Vlad. You would think that contenders would want a title shot.
