Why are you so emotional over Pacquiao and Mayweather?

  1. There are people who get mad over people saying Floyd will beat Pacquiao or vice versa. Why you mad bro?

The fighter makes them proud, with Floyd, people are proud to be black, with Pac, people are proud to be pinoy. If not of the same skin color or nationality, some one simply loves the boxers style, attitude, and hates another fighters style, or attitude, hardcore Pac or May fans love them, not just as a Boxer but as a person even though they don't know them. That's where all the emotional Pac and May threads come from, from People who look up to them and or people who come from the same ethnic background, or simply have the same skin color...

Only complete ****ing losers choose which fighters to like based on skin color or ethnic background, or are filled with ethnic pride when another mother****er who just happens to be of the same color or ethnicity achieves something. :deal

Honestly, with Floyd he just tries to carry a street swagger. but I dont think he makes people proud to be black. Ali did in his time without a doubt, i dont think any black person, except for ghetto people would be proud of the image he portrays, which he isn't, or he would've been that his whole career.

James Toney was far more of a real street dude than Mayweather ever was.

lol they only watch one fighter. Its common for flips to watch pacquiao only, my fam does.

Then there are alot of guys who like the number one p4p fighter, who has a shitload of money and shows it.

theres nothing wrong with liking a certain fighter but to make every answer be that one guy when its clearly another is just hugging nuts

There are many things black people 9an all fans) can be proud of Floyd for besides your sheltered-suburban-childish-detached analogy...

    such as him:

    1) Being a very intelligent student of boxing
    2) Not drinking/smoking
    3) Hard work and dedication
    4) Charitable work
    5) Standing behind other black athletes/entertainers
    6) Rags to riches
    7) Self-made
    8) Being very successful
    9) Being proud to be black
    10) Reaching the top of the boxing world and being an ATG
    11) Consistency for 16 years
    12) Whooping ass and making it look SO easy ;)

All these things make black people (and all fans) proud; It has nothing to do with "STREET SWAGGER"

well iuno majority of my friends just like him because he has that money persona, is cocky, arrogant , throws money around like nothing.

I like him for his boxing genius, My fam like pacquiao cuz were filipino, i like him because the guys a beast but honestly people are too fixated onto one boxer and dont bother to watch others. Just because their not no. 1 or 2 doesnt mean there not good. There are other boxers than pac and may :patsch

It's obvious they get personally and emotionally attached to the fighter by reasons that vary per individual. I personally don't think it's stupid to follow a boxer because of an ethnic background, skin color, or because he represents a specific country. It's no different than a person from New York being a Yankees fan, or someone from Pensylvannia being a Phillie's fan, etc. What I do think is stupid is when the love for certain fighters ignites dislikes towards another fighter making people discredit the fighters accomplishments. Floyd has been a victim of this is the past, but unfortunately now him and a lot of his fans have done the very same thing.
