Why are you so emotional over Pacquiao and Mayweather?

Some posters will post nothing but hate towards one of the two fighters mentioned, even though there are many more fighters out there. These same guys will deny to the very end and have totally convinced themselves that they are not Trolls. Yeah, right.

They are primarily black Americans and Philipinos. It's a tribal thing, it happens.

There really is no point in arguing with some of those fools. I've learned to just stay away from the "proof he is the one that is ducking" threads. It is pretty obvious that it comes down to business and that neither man is literally afraid of the other inside the ring. But those soap opera fans need a reason to create drama.

I'm white and I pick Floyd by wide UD, but he's a ***** so the fight will never happen.

It`s perfectly acceptable to like an athlete/entertainer because they are of the same nationality as you are. Manny Pacquiao makes Filipinos proud because he is successful and has gained worldwide admiration.

And I guess that`s what your friends want to see and I guess that`s what they appreciate because they aren`t affluent/secure enough to live/act like Floyd.

I was listing reasons of why black people should be proud of him...they are the real reasons they should find him an admirable person and a good representative for the community.

Pacquiao also exhibits some of the characteristics I listed about Floyd, which is why Filipinos should be proud of him.

It would have been the biggest event boxing has seen in a very long time. If not the biggest. They are considered to be the #1 & #2 best boxers in the world. How often dose #1 meet #2 in a boxing ring? The last time I can think of is Chavez/Whitaker. I'm pretty sure Toney was #2 and Jones #3 when they meet. They are the two biggest names in the sport each with a strong fan base.
Now for the reason I have expresed my opinions on this bout.
There are lot of nagitive things to say about Floyd Mayweather Jr., but it has been clear from the start that he's wanted this fight more a lot more than Manny Pacquiao. They seemed to have everything in place about 2 years ago. Mayweather did ask for an at the time unusual provision for up to the day of the fight random urin and blood testing for proformance enhancing drugs (PEDs) for now this is the important part both boxers. Had Mayweather just asked Pacquiao to submit to any sort of testing. Even one time pissing into a cup on a aranged date. Pacquiao would have been in the right. If Pacquiao had just said something like, this fight is not right for me I'd understand. While Bob Arum is not pushing for this fight. Sure there is the ocosinal publicity ctunt or commit to the media. He's not pushing for this fight. He hates Mayweather and his co-promoter Oscar De La Hoya. Both formor fighters of his. Arum will never put one of his boxers in with Mayweather or a boxer promoted by De La Hoya, unless he's sure that he'd win. Arum has been in this bussnes for a long time, and he knows what he's doing. Here is why it comes down to Pacquiao. Most boxers work for their promoter. They fight when and who their told. Pacquiao is not most boxers. He's made enough of a name for himself that he's one of the rare boxers who calls his shots. I'm sure despite what we hare his people say in public. No one is encourging him to take the fight in privit.
So back to the PED testing isssue. Instead of taking the graceful way out. He sues Mayweather. He makes statments that would indacate to someone who is not aware of the situation. That he and he alone is subject to the tests.
His refusal to take part in random testing with Maywerather is the only reason the fight is never going to happen.
He knew that Mayweather would say no to a 50/50 or someone told him Mayweather would balk at it. Rather or no0t you think Pacquiao deserves 50/50. That split would not have been asked for if they thought Mayweather would say yes. Manny Pacquiao and Manny Pacquiao alone has runid what would have been the biggest event in boxing. An event that would have goten the attition of fans of other sports to talk about the event that would have lead to greater intrest in the sport and because of the increased intrest would have a positive effect that would gotten more young people intrested and posibily raised the quility of the sport in the long run.

There is a however to this. The reality is that this fight is a mismatch. Mayweather is a better boxer than Pacquiao in every way. He has also beaten better people than Pacquiao in their recent fights. Unless Mayweather gets hurt or sick. It won't be a comptive fight. Arum is right from his stand point not to encourge Pacquiao to take the fight. Pacquiao has the responsibility to say to Arum make the fight. It looks like he's found religion just in time to not make it happen.

I'm emotional over the fact that they haven't fought yet. **** them for that!

And please stop buying their other fights, it would give them more motivation to face each other than taking part in these "consolation bouts" to the public.

I've never understood how anyone, in this day and age, could support a guy on the basis of nationality; let alone race.

Maybe cause that's the biggest fight in boxing right now between the two top p4pounders who are absolutely winning and damaging top WWs and LWWs or you want them to copycat each other for five more years and fight each other when they're closer to 40 then closer to 30? Enough with RJJ-Hopkins II fights! We want fights like SRL-R Duran in Montreal!!!
