Why Are You Yanks So Delusional?

this aint a europe v usa thing in terms of the fighters, the last i checked pbf and williams are both yanks. its more to do with the yank forum members still talking up these boxers that are continously getting their ass kicked.

as i said the real scalps that are worth taking in boxing right now are mayweather, hatton, cotto, williams, and calzaghe - these are the elite fighters who are gonna be the most difficult to beat.

From what I've read on this site just about everyone accepts the fact that Jones is way past his best. I'm sure that if he or Hopkins ever fight Calzaghe that they'll be elevated too near boxing gods by Calzaghe huggers after the fact in an effort to boost his legacy no matter what the outcome is.

As far as Moseley, did you even see the Cotto fight? If you consider Cotto elite, Moseley's performance practically puts him in his league so I think your characterization of all Americans as being delusional gets even weaker. The Moseley pickers weren't that far off if you watch the fight.

In general I find the Americans far more diversified in their opinions than the British contingent. There are even Americans stupid enough to agree with your bull****.

lol of course i watched cotto v mosley. cotto won without a shadow of a doubt.

btw you will notice that my 1st sentence said "ok i know its not all you yanks because some of you are intelligent posters"

all i am saying is that its a much bigger achievement to beat unbeaten fighters like pbf, cotto, calzaghe, hatton and williams than it is to beat hopkins, jones, mosley, judah, and oscar.

I've received PMs from 3 Brits thanking me for luring you into the bet.

Your fellow countrymen don't like you representing them and are looking forward to your Exile.

Shane Mosley just went life and death against Cotto, and before that he beat the **** out of Collazo, EASILY.

remember how Collazo gave Hatton so much problems? Well Mosley demolished him without breaking a sweat.

I am not a yank, but I have to say that your post is rubbish. There is nothing wrong with having losses on your record, if you are facing elite opposition and have wins against them as well as losses. An 0 means nothing if you have been facing underwhelming opposition.

Well its debateble, my point is that hes a great fighter, the losses on his resume dont mean he aint good no mo'.... The premise of his jaggoff's thread is that since he has losses on his resume hes not good, he if you look at the quality opposition that he has fought then you can see why, whereas there are many Euro fighters who are just content fighting scrubs as long as they can maintain a perfect record.

The problem is Mosley was always considered one of the top guys whilst Calzaghe was regarded as a complete joke and not even near the top guys of world boxing.Well looking at what happened this weekend it sort of shows how damn good Calzaghe is because he managed to win his fight against a similar younger hungrier world class fighter and Moslet didn't,oh how wrong all the American media were.

i'm not so sure hatton will lose but even if he does, losing to p4p #1 doesn't stop you being elite. he'll still be the man at 140

so if you disagree with me you are saying that a win over oscar, hopkins, mosley, judah, and jones right now means more than a win over pbf, cotto, hatton, williams, or calzaghe?

if he did lose, i would hold my opinion on him for his next couple of fights. if he repeatedly lost against elite fighters then i would not consider him elete - no.

it was a horror performance from hatton v collazo. any fighter worth his salt at elite level should beat collazo, but its worth noting that that is the only fight in hattons career that he hasn't won convincingly.
