its a bit ridiculous really, they are currently fighting 8 round fights and in a month or two the first round of championship fights will happen and there going to be 12 rounders yet there not being called professional fights.

    its a bit ridiculous really

no the apb is separate from the wsb

APB means - AIBA professional boxing

at the moment there having eliminators for the world title fights that are 8 rounds and the world title fights next month are going to be 12 rounders, yet there not considered pro fights

Agreed, it's stupid. But I think it's considered a threat so they are trying to ignore it.

That and WSB should be considered pro.

its considered a big threat imo

they have huge financial backing, a system where they can secure the best amatuers before they turn pro and still let them fight in the Olympics

also I think there trump card is Cuban boxers are allowed to box in apb, so Cubans are almost exclusively only going to turn pro with apb. I don't think we will see Cubans defecting much anymore as there now aloud to go pro and stay in Cuban and even fight over 12 rounds in cuba

things I like about apb include

    1. only one champion
    2. only 10 divisions
    3. boxers have no control over who they fight
4.fair rankings system, you have earn everystep up the rankings you make and earn your title shot
    5. no diva nonsense, no catchweights ,rehydration clasues, have to fight in my home town etc, aiba sets out the rules and you have to play by them
