Haven't watched the Miranda fight so I can't comment but Ortiz was competitive against Lopez whereas Dawson was already too far down on the scorecards and needed a KO to win which he wasn't going to get.

 

Because everyone hates Ward so much, that even though Dawson made the challenge and set the guidelines by offering to come down, they gotta blame Ward.

Blind hate is so ****ing ******ed, I will admit I am no better then most about this when it comes to certain fighters. But I am also really trying to work on just being objective, and getting past this mentally ******ed block.

 

I was shocked to hear him say "I'm done." That's messed up. Whatever happened to going out on your shield? And props to Smoger,the best Ref in the game!

 

I don't blame any of them. But Ortiz has a history of quitting, could have feasibly changed the fight with one punch, and was heavily favored to win against a smaller former junior lightweight. Dawson probably couldn't have done much at that point (though he could have tried) and people like to blame Ward; haven't seen the Miranda fight yet.

The lopez fight in my eyes was perfectly excusable, he had a broken jaw for God sakes. Now his quit job vs maidana on the other hand is in my eyes much worse then Dawson quitting against Ward. I will always remember the words that came out of Victor's mouth after the fight "I dont deserve to get hit like that"
