Why aren't Miranda and Chad getting any **** for Quiting?

He got his paycheck and he wasn't turning he fight around. He wanted to go home and back to LH where he belongs. Ward snatched the fight out of him. I say leave the fella alone. Anybody who steps into the ring deserves respect even before the bell sounds.

To answer TS's silly question. Ortiz has a record, Dawson and Miranda do not.

for the ****** thread starter and whoever calls a guy a quitter that has taken a beating for 90% of the fiight , knock down several times, hasent won a round, and there is approx 7 minutes of fight time left as you are now dead tired and hurt ....seriously **** off.....
you call a man a quitter who gets butted in 3 rounds, with a cut that barley bleeds, and the refs says its fine and asks if you continue and they say, no i cant see... thats a ****ing quitter and dog. not an ortiz, nor cotto, nor dawson, they took beatings like a man...

 

I can't comment on the Miranda fight, because I didn't see it. I can however talk about the other two. You can't honestly compare Dawson to Ortiz even though both of them quit. You have to look at the circumstances that were in play as well as the end result.

 

Chads lost a rung of respect from me for quitting this week, but hes still a dominant LHW champ and that deserves plenty of respect.

My favourites aren't necessarily who i think is best if that's what you think.

 

Clev was more impressive over Bellew. I would chose to watch Clev over Bellew.

 

I see no difference between ortiz and dawson and miranda. Out of all of them i think ortiz had the most justifiable reason to stop. Miranda and dawson could of finished the fight on the back foot and not been hurt (proper hurt. like long term).

By the way i am black so no racist hate.

 

Why couldn't Ortiz just fight off of the back foot? He had more of a reason to do it than the other two did. He was actually winning both of those fights that he quit in, while Dawson was losing every round and had zero chance of pulling out a victory. You also have to look at the fact that Ortiz was being groomed as a potential superstar at the time, so he even had more to lose if he quit. What did Dawson or even Miranda have to gain by continuing? No one views Dawson as a potential superstar and Miranda is seen as a past prime hype job that was never really that good to begin with. I don't like the fact that Dawson quit, but it's not as bad as what Ortiz did.
