so i guess you know dawsons energy level after 40 minutes of fighting a guy like ward and being thrashed. ever been exhausted? ever ran marathon? ever ran 1 mile? you get to a point where your body slows to near stopping ...ive seen guys quit on a 13 mile half marathon and they had a mile to go..."only a mile" to fat ass watching out his window its only a mile. having no idea he wanted to quit 4 miles ealier but kept going and they become physically, then mentally done. they dont care if its 50 feet once they reach they mental part. so now imagine that being dawson and getting punched in head while being at that point...... to think he could have "danced" the last 2 rounds is stupid. he took a beating, for almost the entire 10 rounds with 3 knockdowns , but "hes a quitter" . the logic of people :patsch

    What are you bitching about?

Chad Dawson is one of my favorite fighters in boxing and has been before most people had ever even heard of him. Me acknowledging the fact that he quit doesn't change that. You can spin it however you want, but by definition he quit and there's no other way to say it. It doesn't matter if you have a legit excuse or not. Quitting is quitting.

If you've read some of my comments before the fight, I even said that moving down in weight might hurt Dawson. You have no idea who I am, you don't know what I've been through in my life and you don't know what I know as far as fitness is concerned. Don't come preaching to me about a marathon or someone's energy level. I know what I'm talking about.

Top athletes are where they are because they can push WAY past what most can. Flip side is that they are in the entertainment business. The general public has the right to expect what ever they want. They chose with their dollars. Flip side of that is that this board reflects very little of THAT reality.

look i am not saying it as a negative thing on nobody i was defending ortiz

and if that was my argument here i would defend Dawsin and Miranda too

but why the double standard in the public reaction?

I think Mexicans are less forgiving than everyone else, on their fighters who quit

African Americans fans will give a fighter another chance so will Puerto Ricans, British, Canadian, fight fans.....Etc, we believe that our fighters should be given the opportunity to fight another day.

is that wrong am I out of line and ****?? or is there some truth to my statement??

    1. Ortiz has a history of quitting

    2. Miranda is no longer relevant so shouldn't be in the discussion cause no one cares about his fight. He was shot 4 years ago

Do you think Chad and Miranda will be labelled as a quitter the next time they quit on their stool? NO I dont think so.
