Why aren't more fighters aggressively calling out Saul Alvarez

Probably they expect foul play

 

Floyd never had stacked cards and always beat his opponents legitimately. Castillo 1 was the worst it got; Floyd soundly beat him in an immediate rematch. That's nothing compared to Canelo's (ex. CJ Ross!).

Canelo is also more likely to hurt his opponent.

 

Callum Smith has been calling for the fight as has Billy Joe Saunders. Charlo has said he wants the fight and Andrade told him to take off Oscar's panties and fight him only to be dismissed as a potential opponent by Canelo.

Benavidez seems keen and I'm sure Beterbiev and Bivol would be too.

That's a pretty solid list of guys up for fighting him he hasn't fought before. I just hope we don't get shot to **** Jean Pascal next for the WBA 'regular' title.

 

Only if they know they get a massive payday for losing even if they win the fight, there's a reason to take it.
And then there's the thing that Canelo and Golden Spoon Boy Promotions decide for themselves who they fight anyway (or who goes on the shortlist), so it's of very little use.

 

I don't know about that - didn't Mayweather dictate everything from ring size to what gloves his opponents could wear? He did also make Canelo come in 2lbs under the limit for their fight to drain him.

Floyd loved a bit of A-side BS even if Canelo has done a lot more of it then we ever anticipated he would when he was coming through the ranks.

Floyd didn't really need a helping hand from the judges though did he? Most of his fights were pretty clear cut affairs.

Did you read my other posts? I was trying to refer to in-ring situations, in which Floyd beat all his opponents decisively, even Castillo, unlike Cinnamon boy who needs help from Byrd and Ross.

 

Floyd received a gift in the Castillo fight. The Maidana fight was a draw at best for Floyd.

 

Yes, DLH is using Floyd's blue print for Canelo.

Handsome pay day sure but to fight him in Vegas would mean an almost certain loss on any fighters record. Be standing at the bell Clenelo & decision is yours lol
