Not popular can't make a living out of boxing there.Govt sporting bodies are more focus on collecting olympic gold.Hence the result in the olympics 2012.It's only a matter of time though just be patience.
:rofl:rofl:rofl idiot does not know the difference between Eastern Europe and soviet union...... lol at sum idiots here
i mean... i heard asiatic males have lowest average level of testosterone, it could be one reason they doing so bad at boxing and other violent sports.... look there are billions of them and so few in boxing they are some chinese boxers but not many http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=366951&cat=boxer
There are many amateurs and they're hella good. Must be a cultural thing and possibly lack of financial motivation that makes it unappealing. People can make ignorant comments about chinese people in general, but as we learned from their success at the most recent olympics, they weed out children with specific athletic attributes and basically groom them for the sport they are best suited for. This is extremely effective, and i'm sure it would work well with combat sports. So my point is, regardless of what you think of Chinese males, their selection process would eliminate that worry. Therefore, they must simply be focusing efforts on other sports for whatever reason.
like selecting the best of the best of the whole population?? if Europe and the US did that and boxing would not be the sport only for the economically challenged, the boxing seen would be a whole lot different. i doubt many of the current fighters would be in the position they are today
