Why Ariza was fired by Roach?

Acording to Roach and Pac Ariza was taking over the entire camp, telling everyone what to do, etc., so Roach fired him..........

I think Ariza is what one would call a supreme opportunist. He managed to hook up a lucrative gig as the S&C coach of Pacquiao thanks to Roach, but while ensconced within the inner circle he saw so much more opportunity to earn the big bucks.

The problem was he could not pass up on these opportunities and got too greedy for his own good. He bumped off veteran cutman Miguel Diaz from the ring corner during fights, for crying out loud. He was the strength and conditioning coach, what was he doing in the corner in an actual fight, did he need to remind Manny to do some jumping jacks in there while the opponent tried to take his head off?

Not only that, we all know Roach talks to Manny in English and for good measure Buboy repeats these instructions in Manny's native tongue. Most likely because Ariza thought he could, or wanted to, climb up the ladder over Buboy and Roach himself, he started talking to Manny in the corner himself, assuming this would make him a more "trusted" guy with more pull than even Buboy and Freddie themselves.

Then there's the time when he left Manny in the middle of camp to attend to Chavez Junior.

I heard Ariza even had a part in the takeover of the domain name under Manny's name. This website played a major part in Manny's meteoric rise to superstardom, only to be pulled from under the owner's feet by Timothy James at the time. Ariza then ran his strength and conditioning "columns" there, or more like infomercials for products he "endorses".

I don't even know if the website is still active as of the moment.

 

Coz he's a d*ckhead....

 

Everyone who kicks and an old person with Parkinson is a low life.

Not to mention that such a person should be prosecuted and end up in jail. That was a horrible assault.

 

Ariza encroaches on everyones space and tries to assert his influence in all facets, from cutman to frikking giving instructions and training the fighter himself. He has a mean streak, is not good with workijg as a team, creates a lot of strife and seems to be insincere and have his own selfish motives. This is why he was fired.

Its a shame because his S&C i regard as great with noticable benefits in fighters, namely Amir Khan

It's gotta be the guys limitless ego.

The way he tries to inject himself into everything & with no fight experience!!!! Everytime I watch that push kick I get all vexed up. I'd love to see Ariza try that **** with a Thai boxer 30 kilos lighter than him!!! :yep

 

Both Freddie and Ariza have major ego's and like to be given the credit.

Dont think Roach has liked it much that for a long time Ariza had credited himself with Pacqiuao's sucess in climbing up beyond the lightweight division.

Going into the 3rd Marquez fight, Ariza boldly stated, "Marquez is facing a totally improved Pacquiao from what he faced twice previously. Since I've been his S&C coach, he's physically evolved well beyond what he was then."
"Not even God can help Marquez vs Manny!"

Ariza giving himself the glory really rubbed Roach the wrong way.


Sitting back and looking at the whole picture, you get the feel that because Roach's illness prevents him from yelling out instructions to Pacquiao while in the ring, its easy for Ariza to feel empowered to give out the instructions.
Ariza is supposed to be interpreting and being Roach's voice, but I doubt anyone in Ariza's position would hold back from adding their two cents during the fights.

I dont think it helped the relationship one bit that Roach is limited to how he's able to communicate with Pacquiao while he's in the ring fighting.
When thats happening and Pacquiao is having sucess in the ring with Ariza yelling out the instructions, its easy for it to spill over and for Ariza to feel he's impowered even during the actual training camps.

Roach said recently that it boiled down to the time that Ariza left in the middle of camp to Work with Chávez jr - he tried to take Khan with him saying he would train him himself. The guy's gotten too big for his boots - and has been for a long time. I remember Khan's team having trouble with him as well.
