It's all they have...it's their security blanket..

All they have to do is invoke the name of Ponce De Leon....and the bad man goes away...

why cant he be like floyd?

because he is a exciting boxer while floyd is not?

broner is young, technicly well rounded, very fast and athletic and powerful.
he can be himself and yes, he can be as good as floyd, maybe not 100 % as good as prime lil floyd, but not far away from that form.

Not all Broner fights will be exciting...he's gonna stink up a few....they ALL do..

Because Floyd Mayweather Jr. already is. Jr. is the uncut cloth. There won't be another.

everybody is ****ing critic but very few have boxed or even been in a street fight. mayweather is the greatest fighter in his era. of course broner is not as good as mayweather and probably will never be. but to floyd fans he's the next best thing, floyd want be around much longer and when he gone we are all going to miss him. so for me broner is the closing thing that will remind me of mayweather when he is gone for good.

    floyd is big bra
    broner is lil bra

i told you guys that already.

Eh. Kobe was/is not the second coming of Jordan. But that doesn't mean Bryant never achieved greatness. Not saying Mayweather is the MJ of Boxing (Ali is) but you get the picture.

why can't muther****ers just be happy with having another talented young fighter with superstar potential without having to compare him to Mayweather? He does the shoulder roll and he's a cocky slick black guy....other than that the mayweather similarities are few and far between.

I don't expect him to be anywhere near mayweathers career when alls said and done but I can see him having a very good and potential borderline HOF career kinda like Cotto. Dude doesn't even fight like Mayweather.

Broner also doesn't have any big megafights out there like Floyd did with Oscar/Hatton, and the Pacquiao rivalry between fanbases help Floyd's name a lot as well.
