If he can pull what Amir Khan did for 6 rounds straight before the KO but do it for 12 rounds then he has a really good chance of getting the decision.
Those are not reasons Crawford will beat Alvarez. They are reasons Crawford could beat Alvarez. I'm not 100% sure who I think will win but I do believe the factors which give Bud the best chance to win lay with Canelo himself. In his last few fights Canelo has looked slow and plodding. He throws one punch at a time and the punches do not have the speed or power they used to have. He does not seem to have any Plan B at all. The only thing I know for sure is that I will be rooting for Crawford to pull this off.
