One thing you can be sure of is that the critics will always criticize. When Dawson beat Adamek I thought he was destined to be the next American superstar. Sadly, I got that one very wrong. Superstars don't duck easy fight and they don't give away titles at the formative stage of their careers. Some boxers bring out the critics in full force, Dawson is one of them.

You're an idiot , and a plague to boxing. When being a boxing great means going for just big money fights and not the fights that are risky became the norm, champions lost their historic clout. Roberto Duran stated perfectly a few months ago how champs today are nothing in comparison to the champs of yesterday, you got guys like Calzaghe who openly admit to just looking for the big money fights, instead of wanting to prove they are the best by fighting the best competition....... Calzaghe said boxing is dying, well he is a catalyst in that. Of course you buy into this **** because you are a blind nuthugger .... but just the fact that Calzaghe talks about not taking risky fights because there is not enough money is pathetic ..... being an atg means you LOOK to fight the best and desire to prove your greatness... there is a reason why Calzaghe will struggle to make anyone's top 100 atg list who does not live in England.

are you ******ed? Tarver enacted his rematch clause .... Dawson had no choice but to fight tarver instead of Diacanou.... Do you really think dawson is ducking him? Surely you are just stupid? I think G. Johnson is much more intimidating than Diacanou .... you're a joke, open your eyes and let go of this pathetic argument, you only are making a fool out of yourself.

The nerds talk about the need to "prove your greatness," but they have never put on a pair of gloves nor have they ever made sacrifices and struggled through the hungry years of boxing. They talk **** because that is all they know.

    Umm what?

You probably should avoid throwing around the insults when you have such a sketchy grasp of the basic facts.

How did Dawson have 'no choice' but to fight Tarver instead of Diaconu? Diaconu was his mandatory and Tarver just another beltholder in the division. If anything logic would dictate he had no choice but to fight Diaconu, but he ditched his title instead of doing that.

That he has to fight Tarver again now is a consequence of that decision. If he'd fought Diaconu he could have then fought Tarver in a unification match rather than as a challenger and there would be no rematch clause. He have been paid more and have two titles instead of one.

Instead he chose to fight Tarver for less money than Diaconu offered and now is compelled to fight him again in a rematch that no-one is interested in seeing.

Happens all the time. Maybe he'll get some respect when he does retire?

Lennox wasn't held in high regard by the Americans until he finished his career.

Yeah, that is the sad reality of boxing. You nearly starve to death or you are rich and famous.

First of all, what u mean, "doesn't deserve to fight joe"...and Manfredo did? Dawson beat the top fighters at light heavy. He dominated Tarver, beat Johnson, AND beat Adamek, who has been cleaning up at CRUISERWEIGHT......and he has a lot of talent and skill....So what r u talking bout
