Fury is taller and bigger but can move so fluidly for his size. Why can’t Deontay train to move like that when he’s smaller?

Why can't Marquez move like Mayweather when Mayweather is tall and bigger?
    This is a dumb thread.

A better question is “why can’t Fury punch as hard as Wilder”? Fury is bigger and heavier so why can’t he train to punch harder?

Well... coordination is simply an innate intangible ability people have to varying degrees. Wilder is lacking in it for whatever reason.

    So

    - Naturally lacks coordination.
    - Doesn't train to rectify it.
    - Approaches training and the fight with a completely different view and mindset.

Fury has been training for coordination and reflexes his whole career. Wilder has been training to land power punches.

Combine that with below average natural coordination for Wilder and thats the result.

Honestly though Wilders been lookimg so umcoordinated and stiff Ive been half wondering if he has back problems. He doesnt move like he used to. Theres been plenty of tall fighters in boxing... but recently Wilder just looks borderline ridiculous sometimes in how hes moving. (Recently?... ya ya I know)

Agreed. Different people have different talents.

Keep in mind also you are talking about pro athletes at the.top.of their sport.

Compared to the average guy, Fury is still going to hit very hard and Wilder is going to move well.

Wilder started boxing at 20, Fury started at 2. The serious answer is brain plasticity. Fury's been boxing his whole life.
