I don't necessarily agree that his speed is no longer world class, he may be a step off from what he was, but its not anything that drastic. Besides, Canelo was faster before they fought the first time, but GGG's timing nullified that to a certain extent, let's be real here, Canelo at best won 4 rounds, at worst 3, and even the round he won were far from one sided an decisive. Add to that, how will the stamina be effected of the visibly smaller Canelo this time around, its pretty clear Canelo may have had some assistance the first time around, his power may be less effective, and his gas tank will in all likelihood deplete quicker, which will leave him a sitting duck. Sure Canelo could win, but if nothing changes from the first time around, GGG still wins, since already did.

world class was just an arbitrary term i used for purposes of illustration. what i was alluding to was the fact that ggg fought a very close fight against a guy who will not lose any speed from the first fight, when ggg most definitely will. your argument seems to be that the slight loss of speed will not be enough to make a significant difference in the outcome, my argument is that it will make all the difference.

We'll have to agree to disagree, but we're not that far off to begin with. Hope its not another draw.

Canelo is better than Golovkin. But Canelo is not a better Middleweight than Golovkin is. Thats how the 1st fight looked to me. When they stood and fought Canelo got the better of it as far as points scoring was concerned but weight of punches clearly favoured GGG and Canelo was feeling it and so he could not afford to stand and get the better of Golovkin, he had to get out of the way of those attacks and stop winning rounds.

Cant see how he is going to improve on that for the rematch. Only way to legitimatly beat Golovkin is to cheat more and with all the scrutiny that im hoping will be put on them as its all happening im hoping Canelo will only be able to cheat less.

now im even more pumped for the fight. i was really looking forward to it as a boxing fan, but now im curious as to how well i analyzed the fighters as well. everything ive noticed so far could very well be wrong, cause like you said, the real test to our theories wont happen till fight night.
