Why can't anyone get past that Klitschko jab?

I just seen a thread about Wlad vs a prime Mike Tyson and it made me wonder why none of these guys don't bob and weave their way inside on the Klitschko's and attack their body. I seen Chambers did what he could be he along with other fighters seem so stationary and some what intimidated by their size ... I don't see any head or shoulder movement from these HW contenders.

    Does anyone have the answer?

It's against their temperament. Chambers is a boxer first and foremost. He wants to counter. Any ATG swarmer in history would be able to get past his jab. Although his jab is terrific.

What you should be asking is it coincidence or good match-making that the boxers generally face Wlad and the aggressive brawlers generally face Vitali. Arreola would've lost but probably would have had more of a chance against Wlad. Similarly, Chambers has better odds against Vitali.

It's not just the jab, he holds his jabbing hand in front of your face so you can't see, forcing you to move your head, then he pops you in the face as you try see around the glove.

It's like a range finder that blinds you, yet sets you up for a right hand. You might have noticed Chambers throwing hooks at Wlads glove to move it.

It seems like there aren't anymore aggressive minded fighters out there ... they all try to outbox the Klitschkos.

No elite heavyweight swarmers with good head movement, power, and a sustained body attack. That's what is needed to beat the Klitschkos. There just isn't anybody like that right now.

Haye is the closest thing we have but I don't really see that panning out well for the Brit.

I'd love to see a prime Smokin' Joe against that jab. But sadly: Not happening.

If a shorter guy even attempts to get on the inside against W Klitschko they will be a sitting duck for hooks and uppercuts. His reach makes his defence near inpenetrable these days, unless someone has a similar reach. Haye will have a torrid time against him.

    That about sums it up.

Every time it never fails to shock and disappoint how a man so much smaller thinks he is going to outbox a Klitschko.

The other heavies are woefully inept or just too small to compete. Chambers wasn't much of a mover nor a swarmer so the jab was ideal against him. If you put the jab in his face at that range, you are out of his range and his smoke and mirrors attempts will fail. Just the same with Byrd. They do great when you fall in and expose yourself. When you don't as a big man they can't reach you.

We haven't seen a good swarmer since Kid Dynamite in the 80s and before that Smokin Joe. A swarmer who can slip the jab and come up with the counter left hook or the right cross. Those guys are long gone apparently so dummy fans think these ordinary giants are the greatest heavyweights to ever live.

They try to get out of the way but they can't.

When you box against a person sometimes you can't do all the things you want.

They wouldn't be sitting ducks for anything ... those guys can't take body shots and haven't really been tested down the stretch ... they don't usually go the distance and if they do, their volume of punches isn't the same when it's a competetive fight.

Its because his jab is so powerful. He puts a lot of power into those jabs. If one gets careless and doesnt focus on the jab he might get knocked out or hurt by that jab.

Another thing is as soon as you get on the inside he will tie you up and he does that very well now.

Also, getting too close may cause the fighter to get KOED.

They feel the power and their instincts hold them back.
