If GGG weighs in at 160 and Canelo 155 what unfair advantage does GGG gain for the fight?

Canelo is not comfortable at 160, fair enough.
Golovkin is not comfortable at 155. Fair enough.

If they both agreed to this then based on recent past fights both would weigh in around the same on fight night give or take an ounce or 2. If anything the chances are Canelo comes in the heavier of the 2.

So im confused as to what puts Alverez at a disadvantage by allowing GGG to weigh in on the Middleweight limit.

'Cause Pollo Rojo wants to drain Golovkin so he's half dead and weak during the fight. 5 lbs of fluid is a lot of fluid to be short. Pollo's a little b*tch like that.

The 155 deal is just an excuse to duck Golovkin everyone knows that.
But Canelo 155 & GGG 160 weigh in limits would be fine & fair as we all know on fight night Canelo would probably be 10 pounds heavier anyway

That's what will happen most likely. They'll both just weigh in wherever comfortable. Canelo has never explicitly said GGG has to come in 155, just that he won't fight above that weight.

One thing Canelo did say is they'd fight at a weight they're BOTH comfortable at, which leads me to assume the scenario you mention.

Only thing that poses a problem is well...most believe Canelo is draining to be at 155 which wouldn't much sense in that scenario. Honestly, no point in worrying about it. It'll be figured out post-May, at the will of the WBC or not.

Sounds to me more like he'd be ok with a fight around 156-157, but that's probably just Canelo's opinion. Not sure if De la Hoya feels the same way.

Is that the same reason Marquez couldn't be 135 and Floyd cheated the 144 limit?

it is similar....jmm wanted the fight...just like oscar wanted manny...and cotto and margarito wanted manny...same thing yup....and floyd and manny did it because they could

same thing with ggg...if he wants it hell do what canelo wants cause canelo has it like that

between this thread and the other one..i can see you are severely unarmed in this battle of wits...take your L and move along

How is Canelo uncomfortable at 160 when he's bigger than GGG? Wouldn't it mean he has to cut down more since he's the bigger man?

all the more reason for ggg to take the fight then right? since theyre the "same" size and all(gggs words)...if u think canelo is actually bigger than its an advantage for ggg! look at that canelo is even trying to give ggg an advantage! lol

GGG has no leverage, he needs to accept the catchweight, what is he scared of?WBC isn't going to just hand him a belt.
