dude does he really deserve one :huh he disappointed me big time in that fight. i really thought he was going to fight, but on the flip side he talked so much that vitali wants a crack at him now. so dont be surprised, haye can get his rematch if he beats the **** out of vitali or ko him anything else is a no go.
Not sure why it was Wlad's job to stick out his chin and make this stinker an exciting fight while taking more risk than he should. It wasn't him who talked up this fight to be an exciting slugfest extravaganza, it was Haye. Wlad did exactly the right thing, especially after it became clear that Haye quickly forgot about trying to win the fight the ordinary way but was simply hoping to get Wlad DQ'd by flopping to the floor whenever they got close to one another. A rematch? No thanks. I'd rather watch Wlad against guys who try to win without begging the ref for a DQ win.
The last time i checked, Wlad has every physical advantage over Haye and is ranked no1 in the division, so he should have stamped his mark on the fight. Also if you cast back on the buildup of the fight, Wlad promised to KO Haye but in the fight it was like he was fighting with one hand, his left. At the end of the day we all demand an exciting fight, especially someone of Wlad and Haye's talent and calibre. Instead BOTH made a stinker. Haye did what he does best and that is to trash talk his way into a fight. We all know this.
I'd like to see it. Much more than Wlad against Thompson or Chambers again. But the rematch wouldn't probably generate even 60% of the money (has Sky showed any interest?) and as a voluntary opponent David would have to settle around 20-30% & 1+1 option. If Team Hayemaker offers to fight with £1M, I'd guess the fight happens. It would also signal for hc fans that he's doing it for right reasons. Other way is to fight for the shot.. Haye/Arreola eliminator would be sweet.
Agreed, i think if Haye does get a rematch then he doesn't deserve more than 20% of the fee, after the crap he put out before, during and after the fight.
If Haye is serious about fighting Wlad again then he'll take 2 tuneup fights against ranked opponents. But I doubt it will happen because IMO he's lacking the passion and stomach for starting from square zero.
Who is alot of people you atsch after he made an ass out of him self na don't want to see it again...........
Wlad maximizes his advantage if he doesn't run into Haye trying to knock him out at all costs. That's a foolish strategy vs. a counter puncher. Why didn't Ali run head to head towards Frazier all night? After all Ali was the #1 and had the physical advantage. Why didn't Lewis run after Tua? Why was he backpedaling for 12 rounds? Not sure what you base this "He's bigger and is the #1, so he has to come forward" theory on.
Cause based on his performance in the first fight he doesnt deserve one. Talk the talk but didnt walk the walk.
This is the correct answer. If Haye wants another shot he needs to earn it the old fashioned way, by fighting instead of talking ****. I don't think the Brit public would buy it again....................
