Why cant Floyd be more like Bhop?

Floyd's last fight was against a prime, undefeated, top 10 p4p fighter.It was a huge fight that many wanted to see. The naysayers downgraded the win because Hatton came up 1 weight division for the fight. Hopkins just beat a prime, undefeated, top 10 p4p fighter in a fight that less people wanted to see. Not only that, but Pavlik came up two weight divisions. Now why does Hopkins get praised and Floyd get denegrated? Simple, Floyd is always on top of his game. Hopkins has been off his game his last two fights so the fight was seen as a bigger threat. Floyd looked pretty good his last two fights and was still in his prime. Now in both cases, they fought overmatched opponents who didn't have the talent to compete with them. Hatton actually put up a better fight than Pavlik.

People criticise Floyd's WW reign, but Hopkins has only fought 1 LHW since he returned to the division. Their choice of opponents have been very similar. Hopkins has not been fighting the best at LHW, just as Floyd has not been fighting the best WWs(although Floyd has beat 2 top 5 Welters, and Hopkins has only beat 1 top 5 LHW).

 

He ****ing goes by the name "Money". We KNOW why Floyd fights. A better question than, "Why can't Floyd be more like Bhop?" might be, "Why can't you understand that Floyd made millions and now wants to just enjoy them?" If someone was a real estate investor and made 50 million, people would say to him, "Why don't you just retire? You've got enough to live comfortably for the rest of your life, and retire future generations." Yet in Boxing people demand that their stars fight until they are physically incapacitated, just to see people they don't like get knocked the **** out.

I agree. What Hopkins did last night is one for the history books and should not be taken lightly. It was a legendary victory against an undefeated young star. He was a 4 to 1 underdog, and a large number of people had even picked Hopkins to be knocked out. Instead he posts a shutout. No one should ever forget this.
