Your telling me PBF natural weight is 130. Got off his dick. His best wins are at 135 and above. Natural 130 guy. He couldnt even at 32 years old get to 144 any more.
Floyd gets credit for Castillo, Corrales, Hatton and a past it DLH as he should. For Judah too. Ask most people and they will agree. Make a poll.
He fought the majority of his career at 130 pounds. He's been fighting professional since he was a teenager (and in general since he was 8 ). So where he is fighting at 32 has no bearing at all as to his natural weight.
I give Baldomir credit for pulling off the victory over Zab, since then it has become fashionable to beat Judah though, let's be honest. Whether or not Floyd had to fight Baldomir is irrelevant to the point I was making. I wasn't criticising him for fighting Baldomir, I was just saying it didn't at all enhance Floyd's reputation or legacy. Beating Gatti in the manner he did arguably enhance Floyd's reputation, but it didn't do anything for his legacy. When a great fighter reaches the very top of this sport, there is a demand from the fans. Take Marco Antonio Barrera for example. When he defeated Naseem Hamed, only then was he really considered one of the best fighters in the world. From that point of beating the likes of Sanchez, Tapia, and Kelley did absolutely nothing for him. A win against Morales would, of course. Mayweather reached new heights when he dismantled Corrales, and from that moment on people only wanted to see him fight the best fighters in the world. Of course, like every fighter, you're going to have the odd fight to keep busy, mandatory or whatever. Which is exactly why fights against Gatti and Baldomir occured. He had to fight Baldomir, but it didn't do anything for him. His stock did not rise as a result of that victory. It just hurts Mayweather that he'll go out and go on record dissing a fighter like Sugar Ray Leonard, who fought and beat the very best Welterweights of his era, and then for him to be fighting Baldomir and Gatti. No comment on my part, nothing further to add, but I can see why he is subjected to so much hate on that basis.
Exactly man. And Hatton had already looked shocking at 147 BEFORE PBF finally agreed to fight him at that very weight, stipulated by PBF in the contract.
lol, if you cant get down to 144lbs, how in hell can your natural weight be 130lbs. think before you post.
He hasnt fought at 130 since 2001. thats close to 9 years. He was a boy then and not in his Prime. He is a Natural 140 Guy. I feel. I mean if you take the same logic that would mean Pacman is a Natural Flyweight because most of his fights when he was a Boy were there.
Floyd was usually the bigger fighter at 130 against most opponents he fought...Juss give Floyd the credit he is due....OSCAR WAS A BIGGER FIGHTER AND IT ISNT FLOYDS FAULT OSCAR FADED...BALDOMIR WASN'T AN ATG BUT WHY DOES FLOYD HAVE TO ALWAYS FIGHT ATG'S?? BALDOMIR WAS A SOLID OPPONENT AND THE CHAMP..HATTON WAS MOS DEF SMALLER BUT HE WAS ALSO UNDEFEATED..IF RICKY WAS THAT BAD WHY HAD HE NOT HAD A L ON HIS RECORD???:huh:huh LOOKS LIKE MOSLEY SHOULD HAVE TAKEN THAT FIGHT IN 2006 ..BET HES KICKIN HIMSELF NOW..JIN MADE HIM TAKE THAT VACATION AND GET HIS TEETH WORKED ON INSTEAD!!:deal
Good Post. I really feel that his natural weight is 140. Although now at 32 he might have trouble making that weight.
Some sources are saying it was close to 160. I thought he was above 155 no matter what anyone else thinks. Why he looked 10 pounds heavier than JMM and Juan's weight come fight time was 148 that puts PBF around 158. And his fans are trying to tell us he is a Natural Super featherweight. 130. PLEASE.
Floyd didn't even try to make 144. We have no idea if he would ever be able to squeeze to 140 again. He often fought larger opponents, it is true. But he was never, in his entire career, at the disadvantage Marquez was last night. Floyd walks around at about 152. Marquez couldn't weigh that if he took steroids.
