Ok ignore the point because you don't have one, explained to me how hopkins became undisputed Mw Champ then get back to me with your GGG excuses.
you are all judging 3G before he has even finished his career. Never do this to a fighter! Think. Did you judge Hopkins JUST when he was 36? IFyou did you wuld miss an entire division of his exploits, not to mention being undisputed. Shame on you for double standards! WHen 3G becomes undisputed at more than one weight, you will see.. just give him the same chance you give hopkins please. And when it happens you will eat humble pie at the feet of me and Odin. I look forward to that moment.
Not in that 2nd fight, he boxed & wanted no parts of it. Why he lost the 2nd fight in several peoples opinion.
Yeah, you should watch the fight. At least 8 or 9 people share that opinion, that much I will concede.
Partial quoting my post doesn’t help your cause, only one fool here and it certainly isn’t me. Did the Cotto fights have a catch weight clause? Yes or No?
I would not count out that GGG may catch Cotto, hurt him, and beat him, especially the older 2017 version of Cotto. I think Cotto has a higher ring IQ than Golovkin, is more fluid with his punches, has punch placement, and a better body attack. When you watch the Geale fights and compare how each fighter did you can see Cotto had a much easier time despite the size disadvantage. With boxers like Cotto, who have good footwork, and good fundamentals, and are at the elite level, size isn't a huge problem. Just look at Floyd Mayweather, or Vasyl Lomachenko. They can be outsized but still perform on equal terms or better terms than bigger opponents. I thought Canelo, and Derevyanchenko clearly outboxed Golovkin, and I consider Cotto a better boxer puncher than both. If you look at Cotto's losses when he was in his prime (Pac and Margarito) it was against two possible cheats, and against Pac it was at a catchweight, and he had no real trainer at that time. Also you have to consider that it was Pacquiao, a living legend who is much faster and explosive than Cotto, who is much faster and explosive than GGG. Againt, refer to the Geale fight, you'll see Cotto was much faster and explosive against him than GGG was. Also, Cotto has much better defense. Golovkin had size and chin over Cotto, everything else was Cotto. Ring IQ, defense, style dimensions, footwork, speed, world level experience, all go to Cotto. I think that stated attributes would make it an even playing field. I definitely would not be able to pick one over the other confidently. The reason most wanted Cotto-Canelo was because 1. They are much much more popular than Golovkin, 2. It was a fight that had been in the making for many years, 3. They were both more proven than Golovkin. Unless you take the ABC sanctioning bodies extremely serious or are a HUGE GGG fan, there is NO reason why you would want Cotto-GGG over Cotto-Canelo. And honestly, it was very annoying seeing GGG CLAIM year after year that he would fight anyone between 154-168, when in reality what he truly meant was that he would fight only high reward fighters, or low risk fighters between those weight classes. There was a host of elite fighters calling GGG out between 2014-2018, which he refused to acknowledge or straight up declined, so I can see the sentiment of someone not wanting GGG to get a payday if he's not working to seek the best challenges available to him. I think you're using a bit of hyperbole and a giving sanctioning bodies a bit too much credit. As a true boxing fan, my first priority is fighters fighting the BEST, my second priority is fighters getting PAID, and then following the ABC scripts. Not many people aside SOME hardcore boxing fans and Golovkin fans were crying about Cotto choosing Canelo. I agree the WBC title was a joke, and since more than half of GGG's title defenses were a joke as well, and I had stopped being a big GGG fan, I could careless whether he got his opportunity to unify when he demanded it, in fact, GGG himself didn't care much since he passed up two opportunities to enforce his mandatory, so it just confirmed to be his goal of being undisputed was fake. This is not a very good paragraph and it reeks of biased fan boyism, and double standards. Geale was Geale, he weighed in 2 lbs under what he normally does. Sure that may affect his stamina, but the fight didn't even make it past the half way point to see if it did, in fact it didn't even last a full four rounds. Cotto beat him flawlessly, even better than GGG, proving he was levels above Geale who at that time was still Golovkin's best win. That he had been KO previously by GGG SHOULDN'T matter, especially when you're arguing that Cotto should have fought GGG, because Cotto had also been KO twice, and not just KO, but savagely beaten into submission, TWICE. David Lemieux had also gotten his ass whooped and KTFO before GGG fought him, as well as Marco Antonio Rubio, and Daniel Jacobs. So trying to down play Geale because he got blitzed in three rounds but giving GGG credit for DL, DJ, and DG is lacking honest and a double standard. As far as Jacobs demanding a higher cut, how does that affect GGG's performance or enhance his? Another double standard considering GGG demanded much more than 25% against Canelo, twice and you were all fine with that. As far as Canelo coming in second, how does that affect GGG's performance or enhance Canelo's? And either way Canelo was the Lineal champion, and the money guy, and also it was GGG who was begging for the fight. Those two points you just brought up are more of the GGGoon crying. You guys need to let it go. Lets bring up Andre ward, who sold more PPVs a few months later than GGG did against Lemieux. 50/50 was a very fair offer, considering neither was a certified cash cow, and the fight was going to happen in Ward's division. Trruth be told, Loeffler rejected the offer, because he wanted none of ward for GGG. There is no defeding or turning the table around, LOEFFLER himself said that the reason they declined Ward was because they thought Ghad a bigger PPV audience, which proved to be FALSE a few months later when Ward sold more PPVs than GGG. Yes they were close fights, and yes GGG took a bigger beating than Canelo, its not even debatable. If you think its impossible to have a close fight but one guy they a considerable bigger beating I recommend you watch JCC vs Meldrick Taylor.
You should do it. Live your dreams, don't just wish. I think living in a tree house is very attainable, especially for someone of your status.
