GGG "I'll fight anyone between 154-168" Lara "I'll fight you" Trout "I'll fight you" Andrade "I'll fight you" Cotto "I'll fight you at 154" Canelo "I'll fight you at 155" Ward "I'll fight you at 168" Saunders "I'll fight you at 160" Jacobs "Give me the rematch" Ramirez "I'll fight you at 168"
It wouldn’t make sense for Loeffler and Golovkin to give Ward a 50-50 split of the revenue, because Ward isn’t a PPV fighter and he’s only fought once in the last two years. -Idiot Dan Ambrose “It would’ve been a bad deal to take,” Loeffler said via the latimes.com. “If the pay-per-view for the Lemieux fight is what we think it should be, Gennady would deserve more than 50% against Ward, considering Ward has barely fought outside of California. So it’s unreasonable to ask us to commit to that right now.”
Fighters have been caling GGG out since 2014. Andrade, Trout, Lara, Ward, Charlo, Saunders, Ramirez, and many other known or top fighters have called him out repeatedly, but GGG never answered. This is not new, it was just an HBO myth to make GGG seem like a boogey man.
I wouldn't really bother with a fruitcake that actually seriously believes that Golovkin was going to go anywhere near Andre Ward. The closest he would get to Andre Ward is in his mythical sparring sessions that only his fans invent to try and make his pathetic record look better.
When you can't get meaningful fights, you have to force them. All great fighters took ridiculous risks either by moving up in weight, accepting cheaper offers, accepting demands that were clearly against them...etc. That's just how it has always been in this sport. Staying in one division and barking for free paydays isn't getting anyone anywhere especially when the division lacks to provide anything meaningful. His management is the one to blame here, not him personally. They padded his record for so long, it's literally too late for him to make any drastic changes now at 38 years of age.
Here's a quick lesson, considering you, like all Golovkin fans, didn't exist back then. Hopkins unified the division, Jermain Taylor beats Hopkins, Pavlik beats Jermain Taylor, Martinez beats Pavlik, Cotto beats Martinez and finally Alvarez beats Cotto. Get it?, I'll be genuinely surprised if you do.
Bro your not gonna get anything but excuses with this thread. Cotto offered to fight GGG before Canelo if he was willing to do a catch weight GGG said no so he didn't get the fight...not even leaving the division let's just bring up the last undisputed MW MW Champ did he win all 4 belts at 160 or did he make a concession vs a big name in his quest to become unified..Ward offered him a fight at 168 after Ggg-Lemiux again he refused, Lara called him out relentlessly for years and all we heard from GGG stands is how he isn't a MW and some how a guy like monroe whose never been a championship level fighter is comparable to Lara so he didn't have to fight.. Hell Canelo originally offered to fight GGG in a non title fight at a weight between 154-60 2 years before they fought and he refused...yall need to stop making excuses Cotto, Canelo, and Ward have ALL made concessions to get fights whether it be money or weight for their chance at glory and it paid off GGG was content fighting bums and letting his fans fight for him.. Just facts GGG overrated Yall need to get over the Canelo thing too he lost he had 2 chances and got a draw then got beatdown he ain't fighting anybody relevant so he's not gonna get a third fight fighting the bum of the month club so it is what it is at this point.
Dude GGG won 6 rounds in the first fight and 4 rounds in the second yall need to get out this delusion outside of Canelo gassing in the middle of the first fight from round 10 in fight I on Canelo really beat GGG damn near every round.
1) If Golovkin beat those guys they'd be bums today. I remember how everybody was "oh wait till he fights a guy like Geale or Murray, or a real tough hood guy like Stevens, then we will see" 2) Half of the time they called him out when he'd signed another fight. Hello, Lara, Ward. When his dance card was open you heard squat from them. 3) Some of those guys already openly ducked him and waited for him to get old, eg Saunders 4) Nobody in their right mind is going to drain themselves to fight a nobody at 154 like Trout when there are guys like Floyd around to beat the pulp out of. 5) Ramirez is flat out not some big name that would enhance his resume over, say, Jacobs. Same for lame-ass Charlo, who showed his class by barely beating a terrible version of Korobov.
And yet when Golovkin floated 164 for Ward he's a criminal ... GTFO here. Cotto agreed to pay GGG almost a million dollars NOT to fight him
