Why can't Haye fight Chagaev in March?

    Does Ricky Hatton have a Sky PPV going that month or something?

    Seems like a really simple way for him to still keep the July 2nd date with Wlad.

    I thought of this immediately upon reading of the hold up in negotiations. I guess the answer, as it always seems to be, is "Haye's a *****".

    Seems to me the stations putting these fights are a bit too rigid in their dates.

    But I guess I don't know the big picture. There may be a reason why Haye can't fight Chagaev til May, and why the Wlad Haye potential fight can't be held but only in July and not later, when it'd be more doable for both fighters. WHo knows.

    Well... Haye said the reason he can't fight in April is because of the Sky PPV with Amir Khan... and that they won't do two in the same month. Haye said he can do May, June, July, ect.... so that doesn't seem too rigid from that end. So the question stands... why not March?

    I dunno that maybe possible....Haye will want PPV and that means only so many possible dates for that with Sky and Khan is fighting in april..so cant have too many PPV's too close to eachother. Also the July date with Wlad is possible...but how realistic is it that Wlad will fight Chisora on april 30 and be back in the ring 8 weeks later? Looks like Haye has a good idea that he's being given the run around and that Wlad really wont be ready for July 2nd.

    That shouldn't be a problem. March isn't any closer to the middle of April than May is. Haye said May is fine. So, March should be fine too.

    You act like Wlad has a history of giving people the run around. I think that is Haye himself that you are thinking of. We already know that Vitali had two fights within 8-9 weeks of each other recently... so there is absolutely no reason to believe that Wlad couldn't, or wouldn't do the same.

    i thought of this too. or why dont bbc or itv show it in april. sure it will be less cash for haye but it means more cash in the long run actually fighting a klit.

    Im beginning to wonder if Haye just doesnt want to fight a Klit?

    In other words... there is no good reason that Haye can't fight Chagaev in March.

    and wlad is really serious about fighting haye a mere 8 weeks after the chisora fight :patsch like fook he is.. yo all seem to miss out on this point..

    And once again... you Haye fans seem to forget that Wlad's older, injury prone brother just fought two fights with 8-9 weeks in between a year and a half ago. If Vitali did it... there is no reason for anyone to believe that Wlad can't do it. Other than the fact that you guys can only process a thought if Haye tells you what it is first.

    Wlad isn't sacrificing anything. Wlad is willing to fight both. Haye is looking for a way out. Simple as that.
