I used to support Haye but I just get the feeling he's taking the sport of boxing and the fans for a ride. There is no denying that he's a very talented boxer but he moved up to heavy beat Barrat then got a VOLUNTARY shot at Valuev which he pretty much talked himself into. He eventually went on to lose to Wladimir Klitschko in completely uncontroversial circumstances. The most anoying thing about it was that he didn't look like a fighter who wanted to win more than he wanted a pay check.
Now he expects everyone to get behind him again while he tries to talk his way into a bout against Vitali which he hasn't earned.

    Like Chisora had earned it?

    Like Sosnowski had earned it?

    Like Briggs had earned it?

    Like Mormeck has earned it?

Good thread. I Like the way that losing to the number one in the division should rule you out against the number two, simply because they're brothers.

No they didn't really earn it but like I said, they only got 1 voluntary shot. Why should Haye get 2?
    Good post.

:good Agreed. It's pretty simple really.

Anyway ... he's retired. I'm not a Haye hater but I do hate the endless saga he has going. I wish he would either just fight or not fight ... instead it's all a soap opera.

Haye is a conman, let him beat chisora first then he should get his shot.

big difference is that haye talked himself up so much and commanded millions for his shite performance.. the undeserved fighters you mention got peanuts for there efforts.. Haye behaves like he has achieved plenty:nut

This is my point really. There are a few guys who are working there way up at the moment. I know the sanctioning bodies are often corrupt but if he wins against a few contenders he'll become mandatory and theu'll have to fight him.

Why can't he give something back instead of expecting everybody to watch him on pay per veiw in fights he doesn't look too bothered about winning in.

Another bout with a Klitschko and Haye will generate lots of money, more than any other heavyweight out there at the minute.

Two shots? He's not talking about fighting Wlad again. He's talking about Vitali. Two completely separate fighters. they're not a tag team. One has nothing to do with the other. One is the champion, the other is the number two guy in the division.

If you lose to the number one guy in the division, and the number two guy has stated on several occasions that he'd like to fight you, why should that not happen?

They didnt get paid a 1/10th of what conman Haye "earned" in the Wlad fight/farce.

cos it is not fair on the other fighters applying there trade with respect for the system.. I believe vit does want to fight haye but his management doesn't and lets be fair no one knows the truth.. If I were David and I was serious about the fight I would do all i could to make myself a mandatory and heap more pressure on k2. Problem is he wont do this cos he is just in it for the quick money.

When Khan or Pacman, Money even Ricky Burns move up a division they all got a shot straight at the title..... Haye had a fight against Barret first, then onto Valuev.

Yes he lost against Vlad, but lets be honest is there anyone else out there more worthy of a shot against Vitali? I cannot think of anyone. Also it makes sense for both fighters, good payday, then Vitali can run of into the sunset job well done and put his feet up.

I would prefer to see Haye against a top 10 ranked opponent first, but I cna see why this fight would be made... why would either want to risk loosing this cash cow?

This, your talking £12,000 (for Briggs after medical expenses) to about £100,000 for these fighters, Haye got £2,000,000 for Valuev and £10,000,000 for Wlad. As well these guys only got 1 shot and I don't see how Haye's done any more on paper than someone like Chagaev or Povetkin at Heavyweight. You have to remember that Haye was also very disrectful to the Klitschko's and they donn't want to do him any favours.

If he gives a few contenders a chance to make a name, beats them and then becomes mandatory and doesn't get the fight I'll back him up but until then he can sort his act out because following the Klitschko's to public events and mouthing off at press conferences should only put him to the back of the line imo.
