Why cant Mayweather fight Pacquiao in the pocket?

Mayweather will lose,

he doesnt have the same combo punching that Marquez has

his main strategy will be to throw a punch then run, throw a punch then run

Pacquiao will be the busier fighter and he will land more

 

Will Pacquiao landing more punches on Floyd? Yeah, good luck with that. If anything, Manny would win by activity, but he sure as hell isn't going to outland Floyd. Second, Floyd is a bit more aggressive against southpaws even though he still get back into defensive position after he land. Manny has a habit of putting his hands down[constantly pulling up his trunk], Floyd will take advantage of that.

 

Floyd does have amazing footwork. His ability to create distance is the best in the sport. He can walk an opponent down. He can fight going backward. He can use lateral movement when needed. Mosley and Judah said Floyd has the quickest feet and best footwork. They both have been in the ring with great fighters. Floyd is one of the few fighters that has complete footwork. What I mean is that there is no flaws in his footwork. Floyd can land and get out of punching range with his footwork.

What do you mean by catch him in the corners? I don't believe that will happen because each fighter that has got Floyd to the ropes had a size advantage. Plus his opponents hardly land punches when that happens. Floyd is just to skilled and intelligent for Manny. It wouldn't be a difficult fight for Floyd.

yes pac will land more Pac knows how to counter Floyds Jab, he was countering marquez all night with straight lefts, and he will do the same to floyd, Floyd havent fought anyone that can counter his jab

most of the clean shots marquez landed on manny came from the exchanges but most of the time when theyre not exchanging he couldnt land anything on manny most of it is blocked

He could fight Pac in the pocket but it probably wouldn't be on purpose. You'd think with the kind of style Floyd fights with and ones known to give Pac problems is fighting in the middle of the ring, circling Pac ala JMM.
