But that last sentence of yours is precisely what I'm saying, he can't fight Manny like the fought Chavez.

Now on the first point, Floyd can't use his longer arms cause it has been proved that there are not enough sharper guys with long punches to keep a guy like Manny off. Cotto jabbed well in the first and second, but about at the fourth, he ate a punch coming from nowhere and ended up on the canvas that completely changed the course of the fight.

Ditto :deal Mayweather is more a james toney then he is a Ray Leonard / JMM or any other kind of boxer-mover.

Btw, people will think I'm crazy but I think Floyd's size advantage (height, not reach) actually benefits Pacquiao. I think part of the reason Pac dose better against bigger fighters is that he has a bigger target in front of him. There's more room to hit. Smaller fighters like JMM can dip and get away from Pacquaio's punches easier, then a bigger guy can.

Pac is a warrior, I don't see him getting walked down, he will do the same thing he always does if someone tries to walk him down which is bounce around and throw from different angles. Even if he was getting countered all fight doing that he will still bounce around and attack. The only way for Pac to get walked down is if he decided to try and counter Mayweather's lead offense rather then attack Mayweather. Which is possible if he realizes that Mayweather's hand speed is to fast to straight up attack.

At the same time I have never seen Pac fight an elite athlete who would look to walk him down with amazing reflexes & quickness to slip punches and hand speed to return fire quick while holding ground.

You are basing Floyd's entire fighting game on a few fights you idiot. Floyd was known as being a mover damn near his entire career and he could fight in the pocket thanks to his amazing defense. :patsch

Pacquiao's power is overrated. He hasnt knocked out a single opponent at welterweight. He stopped Oscar and Cotto but he didnt knock them out. Both could have seen the final bell. Oscar just quit because he was severely outclassed, Cotto was more then willing to finish the fight.

Pacquiao hit MArgarito with everything he had and couldnt stop him. Something MOsley easily did.

Pacquiao couldnt even knock down Marquez who goes down in all his fights.

Pac as virtually no chance of stopping Floyd. Floyd has a better shot of stopping Pac then hte other way around. Could be a cut stoppage from all the right hand leads Floyd lands aswell.

Floyd landed several check hooks on Ortiz baiting him in against the ropes.

At the beginning of the fight starts off boxing circles around Ortiz. Landing lead rights, and stepping to the side circling and boxing.

And thats a disciplined southpaw, not a wild out of position flinging punches and hoping they land southpaw like PAcquiao. Floyd will eat that up.

I've seen this-I'm just saying.ur analysis is off-look at Floyd as an entire fighter, not just "how he is with Southpaws"..
you'll get a better understandnig and a less bias one that way
