Sergio is naturally 150 or there about and you know this. 160 is not suited to him at all. So no.

I'm with you that Martinez deserves better, but truth of the matter is Arum owes Martinez and DiBella nothing, no favors, no charity, and they need to just take the best option without this mindset that they're owed a great payday for his next big fight as it's only hurting them.

They've done very little to capitalise on the hype they created after the Pavlik, Williams wins and this Cotto offer shouldn't have been passed up.

If they think they can do better fighting guys like Barker, good luck to them. I personally can't see how they are. Vanes-Cotto, Mayorga-Cotto is just proof Arum and Cotto can do fine without Martinez.

I agree that Arum doesn't owe anyone anything, but I disagree that he ever had the slightest bit of interest in making that fight or any involving Martinez.

What would constitute doing more than they are right now? They tried to get 3 HBO fights, but the network gave his summer date to Williams. That being said, he's still fighting regularly and put on a really good performance in his last fight. He has a show in Mexico and has done commentary on HBO Latino. Everyone slams DiBella for not making Martinez a star, but no one ever offers any plausible strategy up for how that would actually be accomplished.

Martinez deserves a big fight! Really at least he deserves to Unify the MW titles and retire! NO one at 160 can or would beat him!
