Why can't the unification showdown at 147 happen?

  1. The World Champions are afraid of fighting each other.

The Unification Show down at 140 is happening very soon but the one at 147 is still quiet.

Personally I don't think many boxers that get in the ring are afraid of other fighters perse, but post-Floyd I think the sense of entitlement and push for mo' money and risk of defeat makes fighters overly cautious and less focussed on legacy. And I'm not ever going to criticise someone takes the punches and deals with all downsides of boxing for looking to be well compensated - especially when their careers generally stop mid-30's, and they need to make their money while they can.

That said, Spence and Crawford can only get more money fighting Pacman than the other guy, so something is rotten there.
