C'mon man! So Cotto is an elite athlete, huh? So what is Clottey? Chopped liver?

Cotto ain't good enough to find gaps in Clottey's defense. He isn't that much better than Margarito, Zab, or anyone else who couldn't "find the gaps" in Clottey's Defense.

Miguel will be facing a fighter unlike anyone else he has fought. Maybe not the best he's fought, but Clottey will present problems for him he has never faced. (defense, countering ability, pure body strength, size, etc.) And nut-punches aside, he isn't the best boxer in the world at ad******g.

So are you saying that Margo has faster hands then Clottey, or did you not actaully read what I wrote and you assuming that I was talking about Clottey having faster hands then Cotto???

If you would have given us the " Readers Digest " version maybe someone would have read the whole thread.

    Anyways....Cotto kicks Clottey's ass in a bad way....I had a dream about it....its a done deal....can't argue with that !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Little mini-bump (props to Antwuan on this one) regarding Clottey's "invincible" chin.

I'm not saying Cotto stops him or anything silly like that, but Cotto definitely has a better left hook than Carlos Baldomir.

Yeah, when I said adjust I meant more train effectively for Clottey and be able to perform like he needs for this fight. However, I do also think Cotto adjusts well on fights, and I think the Margarito fight is not a very good example because by the time he needed to adjust because he was losing his lead he was already dead tired and had been lured into a toe2toe fight. I really don't think Clottey walking Cotto down is a guarantee recipe like some believe because what really bothered Cotto against Margarito was the volume punching, which is why I also believe Cotto loses to Williams, but has a better shot versus Clottey. Trust me without the swarming punches overwhelming Cotto he too will be able to counter Clottey. It's definitely a good match up and not an easy one to tell who wins. Clottey has the style, and Cotto has the wider arsenal, who will prevail?

I think Cotto should've had at least one more fight before stepping up to Clottey... This guy os not a joke, then again, Cotto is not either. Only time will be the final judge. I hope Cotto comes out in top shape and doesn't underestimate JC , that would definitely be a bad mistake. If Cotto wins, it's gonna be interesting what his options afterwards would be.

After Cotto beats Clottey, maybe he will let Clottey hold the titles until he reaches the dressing room. Or maybe he will give Clottey a job as a spit bucket man.

That also shows how vulnerable Clottey is up against the ropes. If you noticed in his fights versus Flores and Margarito once you get Clottey pinned in the corner or ropes all he usually does is cover up and go defensive. That's why I think adopting an attack oriented fight plan would be better for Cotto rather than to move and box. Coming forward is what Cotto does best, and against this guy maybe bringing the fight to him would be his best strategy.

Clottey fans don't realise that Cotto doesn't just hit you on the side of the body, he EVEN HITS YOU ON KIDNEY AREAS. CLottey's kidneys are in trouble. Clottey aint a tough guy folks. And it takes a tough warlike guy to even compete with Cotto. Cotto wants to destroy everyone now. Again, after the first big shot to the back kidney area of Clottey, Clottey will wish he had chosen a different profession.

    :rofl:rofl:rofl

Anyone can dig up weak-ass 5 second clips and interpret them how they wish.

The way I see it, Baldomir got off a monster shot against Clottey. And all Clottey did was duck and dodge out of they way. Nowhere do I see him dazed in that exchange. Startled? YES. Dazed? NO. And he covered up quite nicely afterwards.

Cotto won't get those kind of shots off on Clottey, and all the Ricans on ESB and in NY at the MSG ain't gonna make it happen. He better watch his own neck, 'cause if anyone's gonna get rocked it's Mr. Chinny Chin Chin himself.

Do I need to start bringing up videos of Cotto doing the Macarena-Merengue Remix Version of the Judah Chicken dance when he was in there against Shane? or Corley, or Zab?

What makes you think that Clottey has the power to hurt Cotto in that way? Hmmm?? Is it the fact that he couldn't KO Corrales? A fighter who jumped up two weight divisions and had already been KOed by lightweights?

Or is it the fact that he couldn't even hurt Felix Flores? A fighter who was smashed by DeMarcus Corley in just a single round and was jumping up in weight after a long layoff when Clottey faced him?

Is it the fact that he couldn't stop Richar Gutierrez either who was just stopped in 5 by Angulo?

Or is it the fact that Clottey often slaps with his punches particularly with the left hook? I'd just like to know your reasoning for this.

Maybe the way he busted up Zab Judah without the use of nut punches?

Or how he worked Margarito's ass over until he hurt his hand?

 You mean the sam Zab Judah with the shaky chin who has already been KOed twice? Clottey couldn't even actually knock him out after 9 rounds of a beating.

Just another example where Clottey was teeing off on an opponent and couldn't take him out.

    Power.... Clottey has none.
