The same Maidana who was easily OUTBOXED by Alexander?

Maidana BEATDOWN LiL Broner, dropped that boy twice

Maidana won 5-7 rounds against Floyd, really roughed him up

Because Maidana was so motivated to fight against Broner and PBF with his new trainer Chicano Garcia of Oxnard.

In the Alexander fight, he was just going through the motions, disinterested, probably thought Alexander was nothing but an easy fight etc...

    Styles

It's why I was stunned that Maidana was not the favorite over Broner and that people kept repeating that Maidana had no chance to win more than one round off Mayweather (although that was agenda driven). Shows most people have limited insight.

    Broner isn't slick

    Low workrate
    Lack of footwork

Do you purposely go out of your way to start threads with why come?

Think Maidana success came from his angles and harder to predict offence, I would say Floyd after so many years of boxing is comfortable dealing with text book punches as that is what he would generally spar and fight against, but how many guys fight like Maidana?

Maidanas skilled at what he does.

So you award the round to the guy who is hitting low, hitting behind the head, hitting in the clinches and try land one clean shot all night?

Styles. Maidana's overhand right is extremely difficult to block using the philly shell or shoulder roll. Plus he throws from unorthodox angles and is very unpredictable. He doesn't fight in patterns. Timing him becomes difficult because you don't know where the punch is coming from.

    No maidana is ****

Broner has some of the worst footwork I've ever seen

Lets not discount the pillow gloves, I think maidana drops Floyd if he wore his own gloves

Sometimes more technically sound, skilled fighters have problems with awkward and unconventional styles.

Mayweather had problems with Maidana. Forrest losing to Mayorga.
