He's a funny one, a lot of people still underrate him but on the flipside I feel like some of his success can be attributed to heart/willingness to do what it takes along with refs seeming to hold him to different rules to his opponent. Both the Chisora and Parker wins were ones where the opponent was looking to have the edge until some fouls come into play, Parker DIDN'T foul in return and there is argument he should have as the one sided fouls clearly cost Parker the fight - Chisora DID do fouls in response, and was deducted two points... while Whyte wasn't even warned despite Chisora's foul being in response to Whyte's.

Usyk is all wrong for Whyte while Povetkin despite being skilled and experienced is old, so I don't blame Whyte for not fighting Usyk at the moment.

Why does a guy who is number one contender for a title not want a fight against an unknown quantity who isn't ranked at HW, let alone has a title? This is a tough one.
