Your weight argument is not strong, the weight is no advantage for GGG in either case because N'Dam has fought at about 164 lb much more than GGG and Rolls is a MW, he's not getting drained here. This is not an attempt to weaken either fighter, instead it is to position Golovkin for 168.

What you should be going on about is sending an offer to Rolls, I hope that is just a negotiation tactic because if he picks Rolls that's indefensible.

Rolls is even worse than Adams and would get steamrolled in the first or second round against Golovkin, that would be a classic tomato can of a fight. Golovkin gets an unfair amount of flack for his opponents in 2012-2015, seeing that they weren't actually that bad and better opposition at MW wasn't available, but this would deserve all it got: Rolls would be the worst opponent of the lot by a considerable margin.

As is GGG and he's a career 160 who has only fought about 160 twice in his entire career as opposed to N'Dam who has done so a bare minimum of 11 times and it could be over 20. So how does that make GGG a weight bully? If someone punches you in your mouth and steals your lunch money who's the bully them or you?

    Golovkin 168 - Proksa 166

    Golovkin 170 - Macklin 170

    Golovkin 173 - Rubio 181

    Golovkin 167 - Rosado ?

    Golovkin 170 - Monroe 172

    Golovkin 170 - Lemieux 175

    Golovkin 171 - Wade 175

Golovkin - Brook ? (not sure but Golovkin weighed 167.8 for the IBF's same day weigh in the morning of the fight and Brook was 168)

Golovkin 170 - Jacobs ? (I reckon he was about 180 by the time he climbed into the ring)

    GGG 173 - Vanes 170

GGG fans were quick to bash Canelo for his catch weights

But now defend him doing it

    HYPOCRITES

At least when Canelo did it, it was to the benefit of Khan (so he didnt have to go all the way up to 160) & Cotto

No you were talking about N'Dam who has fought above 160 at least 11 times, your point?

The problem with those was always that the MW title was involved, not the catchweight which actually both Cotto and Khan wanted more than Canelo.

You didn't mention JCC Jr either, Canelo did look hypocritical saying his body wasn't ready for 160 then going up to 164.5 where JCC Jr was drained.

No, but hey, who cares? It's ggg legacy if he wants to keep wasting time at the age of 37 fighting fighters that won't come close to help his legacy that's his business I guess...

It is his prerogative. At this point I'm not sure there is much GGG can do to retroactively damage the legacy he built over the previous decade. Worst case at this point, he simply doesn't add to it. Beating a Rolls or Adams doesn't add one iota. Beating a HNN would add some. Beating a BJS or Andrade would add more. Beating a Jacobs or Canelo in a rematch would be the only way to add more to a meaningful degree.

IMO GGG is doing it because its more comfortable for him and because he can. He wants to fight on his terms it seems.

Positioning himself for a fight @ 168 does sound like a reasonable thought.

I think its more likely he forces up natural middleweights rather than fighting draining light heavies like Smith and Gilberto.

Plant isn't that big, and obviously Eubank and Saunders are former 160lbers too

Ndam is a very acceptable come back fight, probably ideal tbh.
He has name value and is tough, but not a threat at all.
Steve Rolls is just funny, can't actually imagine him getting the fight that would be a real life Rocky story!!

You know by now that Golovkin isn't built like that. He'll continue to cherry pick, and Fable will state, he only wants the big fights now, he's earned the right to pick and choose. Golovkin has very weak resume for the amount of fights he has and the hype he gets. His handlers don't even have faith in him. If I was Golovkin, I'd be salivating at the chance to take Charlo out, after his last showing.
