A 12 round decision over Byrd isn't a fantastic achievement no matter how you spin it. A Puff'd Light heavy vs Super heavy weight who was easily blown away in 5 by Ike. And if you wanna claim Byrd was a legit #10 ranked HW , you have to concede to the fact he was a better fighter than Vitali .

It would be SIX years after that before Wlad fought the #1 ranked HW and that was friggin Chris Byrd again only he was shot to pieces this time.
Wlad first 10 years as a pro was no different than Wilders . In fact you could argue its worse since he was stopped 3 times and floored multiple times.
Joshua in just 3 years and 19 fights has just obliterated Wlads first 10 year 40 + fight career.
