I mean physically why this is like this though?
I don't know but I see some boxers have big protein shake for workout. This could be why.
Because the neck doesn't turn far enough and the muscles around the neck would likely need to break first for that to happen
Step away from hollywood movies bruh..
That doesn't happen by design, to keep boxing within a PG-13 rating.
Because the neck has got strongest muscles in whole body, you see those women in India carry big jugs of water on their head....their necks are like Mike Tyson 22 inches.
Sometime 22 inches, sometimes little like 18 inch.
It depends how big their jugs are.
Everytime I've sparred someone there head as come clean of their shoulders.
All is revealed in the spar. Nowhere to hide.
Who? What? Where? How?, and why come?
What you would find if there were post-fight xray scans is that most have broken necks, just not ever officially diagnosed...
What's a better question is why come you never see boxers go for a pee break between rounds.... How is that not a thing?
My head hurt from reading the thread title.
Because, unlike what you see in movies and tv shows the neck won't break that easily
Ain't got the foggiest OP
But I'm glad it's never happened or likely to.
Fortunately no fighter other than Wilder and some of his fanboys (Sarcasm very much intended) wants a body on his resume.
