if you ever seen riccardo torres - cotto (just before cotto moved up and he was struggling) then you'll know why cotto wont be making those kind of concessions

torres almost won that fight and the ref could have waved it off in the second without too many protests

 

He turned down Canelo too, and unlike Pac, he wasn't going to weight drain him.

but since he's coming from a match with Floyd, people are giving Cotto a free pass so he can avoid dangerous matches and fight scrubs like Trout for peanuts
