    Well, I think Max clearly explain the reason...the way Cotto disposed of a talented Indio, a slick fast moving, radar type boxer, as he proof against all of his adversaries excpet Cotto, lets not forget that Quintana only lost came to the hands of Cotto...

    Cotto's record is unbelievably interesting for me.

    He fought some guys who were nobodies at the time and a bunch of them became champions later, which is very unusual. At times I constantly picked guys to defeat Cotto because I saw the flaws in his game and the talent & anti-Cotto style in Abdulaev, Malignaggi, Quintana and Mosley... and guess what... he avenged his Olympic loss to Abdulaev, another amateur loss to undefeated Pinto, knocked out Judah, defeated Mosley as a first brawler to do that, and somehow he made world champions by destroying some ‘nobodies’ at the time. I always knew Quintana is no joke but he pulled a massive upset yesterday. What an impressive record Cotto has:

    -TKO8 Carlos Maussa --> WBA LWW champion
    -UD12 Lovemore N'Dou --> IBF LWW champion
    -KO7 Ricardo Torres --> WBO LWW champion
    -UD12 Paulie Malignaggi --> IBF LWW champion
    -TKO5 Carlos Quintana --> WBO WW champion

    I mean if you look at Cotto's record, that a hell of a good list of former, reigning or later world champions. The guys getting rocked in every fight he steps in, but he somehow manages to go on and finish every fight strong. I'd say he's the less impressive P4Per considering overall skill level AND flaws and yet he's one of the strongest names on my p4p list as he's got a hell of a boxing record and it's getting better and better even between fights.

    Cotto is really something, but something tells me that fighting in the orthodox stance holds him back. He fights somewhat awkward in the orthodox stance, I don't know if thats suppose to be his style, I mean his jab looks like a straight left, and he doesn't throw his right hand that much. When he's on the southpaw stance he seems more effective, even if it's just for a short time, I remember in his fight with Quintana he blasted him with 4 or 5 times bombs from the southpaw stance that really turned the fight around. He has a good straight left and left cross from the southpaw stance. But hey no fighter is perfect, he is currently undefeated, and I think of him as the top P4P fighters. Plus being able to fight in either stance is an advantage.

    Cotto is a great fighter for me, he can box can brawl, the best body shoter in the game, has one of the best jabs as well, quick hands cuts of the ring well, underrated defence as well imo, he was very good at it when he was up and coming just needs to tighten it up a little but the basics are there to do it, chin well hasn't really be tested at 147 massively but seems alight since moving up and has massive heart.

    For me he is top 4 p4p right now and him and pbf are on a collision course for what is in my opinion the most important fight this decade. It won't happen till 2009 but i'm fine with that as long as it happens.

    Lets not forget that Cotto is a southpaw turned orthodox, and I have seen him at the gym spend time fighting southpaw, and he is capable of stay fighting sothpaw if the fight would call for it....

    Cotto is an incredible specimen, strong, smart, and can hit like a mule....and on top of that he has great sills that are still improving, his speed is underated and often over look, he is a master movment and cutting the ring ...and the stage is simply set for Cotto v PBF
