the reason why is simple. paul williams is the harder fighter to fight against. paul williams defense is **** aswell, so he'll get outboxed soon, maybe even against a much shorter fighter as size means **** all when you can time your opponent, but offensively even though williams doesn't have the power of pavlik, he does put his punches together much better. the workrate and combinations from williams makes him a tougher opponent than pavlik. pavlik is just a puncher, and that's not good enough. like i said, he was hype.

and hopkins lost his first fight as a pro. you're looking too much into the past, and not the present. get out of that habit.

after pavlik-B-hop fight you could tell the one thing you need to beat pavlik is to know how to move,do not engage in unnecessary exchanges and a decent chin.
i like pavlik,i really do,but he was very predictable.
and martinez- i told u from the beggining - was the worst oponenet they could have picked for him,he had a better hance against williams himself.
they should have tried a brawler instead of a boxer. And my props to Martinez who is a shame is getting his glory late in his career, still time to make some money and decent paycheck.
