Why couldn't Brook have at least 1 tune-up at 160?

Before facing GGG why couldn't Brook have at least 1 tune-up at 160.

Canelo wanted 3 tuneups at 160, ward wanted about 5 and Brook doesn't even get 1? What a joke.

Brook hasn't even fought above 147 ever, not even 154, and now straight up TWO weight classes to face the best fighter in 160 atsch

It would've been good if Brook had a tune up vs. GGG's leftovers like lemieux or someone before facing GGG.

 

He is bad ass

brook was declined cotto and canelo fights he had no choice to fight the even much harder fight Golovkin

Brook wanted to fight cotto but cotto ducked him and wanted marquez (i would of favored brook to win on points)


he wanted canelo but canelo thought it was to risky (it would of been a 50-50 fight)

He then went for GGG no choice

 

Brook actually has 8 fights above 150 and has fought at 155 as well

Brook has bals of steel and they clearly have no time for such "mah tuneup" nonsense.

 

He's been fighting 3rd level tune ups at 147 all his career. He hasn't given himself the flexibility to fight a tune up at 160. Straight to the lion's den

why stop at 1? Why not 3 tuneups like Ward is having for Kovalev.

 

Because the fight was set for September and it was the biggest paycheck in his career. Take it or eave it! Brook went for it!
