He pretty much wiped out both Martinez and Geale with the left hook, why couldn't he land it on Floyd?

Because Floyd is a great boxer and the fighter of this generation for a reason. Cotto even admitted that Floyd is the best boxer he has fought.

Floyd better than "many" want to give him credit for. Fights like Cotto-Geale should remind us of how good Floyd really is. Cotto couldn't even land the hook at all on Floyd

Floyd got away from the hook but not the jab in which cotto should have used more of cause Floyd had no answer for it. But that fight happened Floyd won and can't go back to it

He should have attempted the butt/hook combo he used tonight on Floyd instead of simply throwing the lead hook.

Why couldn't every fighter he fought land their signature punch on Floyd?

May is a lot faster on his feet compared to Geale. After eating a few counters trying to land he didn't necessarily become gun shy, but he was very reluctant to keep attempting it. May was out of there and countering every time he tried.

Geale was a lot slower, and showed near no power in there, despite his weight advantage. Cotto realised he had nothing to fear and Geale lacked the capability to react and adjust to it, so he just kept throwing it 'til Geale said No Mas.

Cotto shows problems against speed and counter punching. Seems to get discouraged easily.

Watched his fights vs Pac and May after his win against Geale. Really does go to show how above the rest those two are.
