Thanks. Ortiz looked bigger than Floyd. The size difference didn't look that big though. Also Ortiz is slower(hand speed wise) in person. Floyd is pretty damn fast. I saw Floyd fight in his prime though. His hands are a little bit slower now. Some punches you could hear. Like Erik Morales shots sounded pretty loud. Some of the punches in the Ortiz vs Floyd fight sounded loud. Like a couple of the right hands Floyd hit him with in the first. Also the one two to end the fight sounded like a shot gun. Im dead serious. Everyone in the arena heard those shots.

Who else have you seen Floyd fight?

Yea I was impressed by Cano but by the end of the fight I thought he had be ruined and felt sad for him even though I wanted El Terrible to win.

A shot gun damn? I thought the left sounded really loud but the right seemed to put him to sleep, so I assumed that one was harder.

What were people saying after the controversy of the K.O?

It all comes down to your business model. Would you rather have a sellout and bring in $8M at the gate, or not do a sellout and do $11M at the gate? Mayweather's last fight had roughly the same attendance and did $11M at the gate(top 10 gate of all time). From a business standpoint, a sellout isn't ideal as sales aren't maximized(the supply is not enough to fill the demand).

I'm guessing ticket prices, if the record PPV price is anything to go by, would have been more expensive than normal.

Also with Floyd, there is every chance his fights will dissappoint in terms of them being exciting, so that could put many off going to see him live.

Unlike Pacquiao, who has become a "can't miss" iconic figure due to his growing legendary status, coupled with fans knowing he goes out and tries to give their fans their money's worth.

Say what you say, but the writer cannot change the FACT that it was not a sell out crowd for Floyd....

It's bad enough that certain fans don't know **** about boxing because they are homers, but Reg, please do us a favor. Ignore threads like this. They don't know the economics of boxing.

Baldomir and Hatton. I didn't know who Floyd was until Baldomir. I went to that fight because my dad had got some free tickets.

I was impressed with Cano as well. I was also pissed off  Morales is one of my fav fighters so I was pissed when he was losing.

Yea the left caught everyones attention. The left sounded harder than the right. But you could hear the right hand also.

There were some pissed off fans after that fight. I knew they were going to be pissed after the fight. Every time the showed Floyd they booed the he'll out of him. When he won I couldn't even hear the post fight interview because people were booing him so loud. They were throwing drinks on Floyd when he was heading back to the locker room. Some of the people I was talking to came all the way from Kansas to support Ortiz.
