Somebody do the research. Find out why Floyd isn't selling out the MGM Grand, but is out selling Pacquiao in ppv's against common opponents.

Actually Puffy and the rest of the celebrities were there to see Morales win his fourth title. I would say about 500 of those who paid were only there to see Floyd and the rest were there to see el terrible.

It's very odd as to why Floyd does terrible at the gate.

There were a lot of tickets and free hotel rooms being given away to VIP residents as well.

Floyd and Co. seems to exaggerate their earnings a lot to make themselves look good while Arum/TR seem to and have been accused of under reporting their numbers and income.

GBP claimed and sued TR for under reporting their numbers/income from Pac fights. GBP claimed they did not get their fair money share from their co-promotional agreement for Pac with TR.

Floyd isn't complaining about his pay st GBP, Pacquiao is questioning T.R about his earnings.

Floyd always has the most lucrative gate and made more money in the Mosley fight than pac did with Margo even though he was at the stadium.

Floyd doesn't have as many ppl, but they pay more

Was at the fight in vegas, an when floyd walked out, all you could hear was ORTIZ, talked to several people who said they got the tickets comp for staying at MGM, i guess if you bought 3 nights, you got tickets free, i was drunk when it was being explained, it was on a poker table after the fight,,,,,i had nose bleeds for 150 dollars, an there a few around who got them given to them, but i did not by them in advance, i walked up an bought them, but saying this it was pretty packed in there i thought, also every major casino was running close ciricuit, an that had a long line to sell tickets, that were i was standing. But i switched from the close ciruit to the areana cause the cheapest ticket were still for sale........i would not doubt if another 10,000 were sold at the close circuit advents around vegas

Understand one thing, most events are padded with give aways to fill the event . It must look full for the cameras. If this place wasn't full it means the promotion sucked.

what i'd like to know is why the supposed top fighter and face of boxing Manny Pacquiao who everyone loves still hasn't even come close to matching the PPV buys generated by Floyd- a guy everyone hates and supposedly shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence as far as greatness goes according to *******s. Live gate is meaningless in revenue, it's all about the PPV $$$

Plus there were close circuit feeds in vegas, these were at every major casino, that no question stops the seat from being filled.

another note, it was not till his DLH fight did floyd get good number for PPV, i think his gatti an zab were around 300,000. An pacman been getting the 500,000 sence 2004 or 5,,were floyd who has been on the scence as not really drawn in anyhigh numbers till this possible showdown with manny :yep

What do PPV sales have to do with greatness? Since when was Bernard Hopkins a major PPV draw? Ricardo Lopez? Roy Jones? Pernell Whitaker? Floyd has you fans skewed placing significance on things that don't really matter.

I really wish they gave you an option when you ordered the PPV for the viewer to select the fighter they are supporting and that would be how the fighter got paid...

Then we would know who is the real draw and even if a fighter is not the "Star" if another fighter is bringing with him alot of support and bringing in profit to the event, he can make himself a nice little payday to with the PPV upside...
