Wlad spent 12 rounds doing nothin but pawing at Sultans gloves. Sultan an under sized nobody who had a terrible work rate. There is no excuse for it.
When has Fury ever tired out?. He's known for having the best stamina and work rate in the division. I can almost guarantee you thats not what Wlad was thinking.
Have you watched boxing for more then a year or two? I have seen this dozens of times with old fighters, they just do not have the reflexes and eye hand coordination anymore. Age is a killer.
Hhm...you really are a hater aren't you? Yes, he fought tentative and stupid against powder puff Fury What happens when he flattens Fury in the rematch? I'll be waiting for your post.
Sultan was constantly flicking his jab defensively and Wlad was catching it, smacking it down, and Countering with his own jab...it's called parrying. Define "nobody" and how that label you bestowed upon him means a shut out victory needs an excuse. He was somebody to Tyson and Jeff Mayweather, who both saw him as an exceptional talent.
Because he is WLad, always had problem with that, even when dominating(Chambers fight great example), so when losing its to be expected... 100% of family heart is in Vitali.
There's a lot of people saying it on various forums. There were also lots of people claiming how amazing he looked against Pulev.
Most boring, but not the worst from a technical or athletic aspect. Your implication was this fight is evidence Wlad has not aged in 9 years, and you have failed to make that case.
Pulev was over a year ago. Conviently ignoring the observations he looked old against Jennings just shows me you know I'm right. Everyone on this forum was saying Jennings was a clear showing of age related decline, and that was well before this fight.
dinovelvet, Okay, it was an exaggeration. But we both know that he isn't a big puncher. The majority of his stoppages were accumulative TKO's. I think Ali may have been more powerful. The point is, there was no reason for Wlad to be so hesitant. Wlad possesses one punch power that could have put Fury to sleep. It became evident after 5/6 rounds, that he had to change tactics and take some chances. Wlad was beaten mentally. Nothing he did had any intent. It's all about styles. I don't think Vitali would have showed Tyson an ounce of respect. I'm a big fan of Tyson's, and he executed a perfect game plan both inside and outside of the ring. But I don't rate him particularly highly.
He couldn't find the range Fury did an excellent job of controlling it with movement feints and his jab.
