Why Dawson is still number 1 on boxrec.com ??

    Seriously I don't understand that, they gave Hopkins's belt back but Dawson still #1?

    Ignore Boxing Rec's scoring system. With Bute placed above both Froch and Ward, clearly the compilers are smoking Meth.

    From what I understand, boxrec's ratings are highly computerized. The computers analyze the data and make the calls, mostly.

    When/if that fight is officially ruled a n/c, or whatever, the rankings will surely change.

    Exactly. The commission is meeting on 12/13/11 to review the fight and come up with a decision. Once the decision is reached, the stats will be official and updated in boxrec.

    The WBC is the one that gave the belt back, not the athletic commission.
