Why demand Adrien Broner move up when he can comfortably make 135lbs?

Maybe instead of fighting no-hope ****ing midgets like he did last night, he could move up one weight class and take on real champions and prove himself.

 

He's got 1 more fight in him at 135, most likely to be the winner of Burns vs Vazquez. After that, he can move up to 140 where he can have at least 4/5 bouts.

 

He fought a guy who competed and was a champion in a larger division and is poised to fight the winner and unified champ in division next to make a undisputed champion of the division.

He weighed in 1 lb under the limit drinking a red bull and you are crying about him?
Stop hating.

 

That dwarf was a former 140 lbs WBA champ, and whose only loss in 39 fights before Broner was an absolute war against the highly respected 140lbs fighter Andriy Kotelnik.

 

Laughable amount of insecurity in this thread.

What about Abril vs Bogere winner for the WBA? Might as well fight in a unification fight before moving up, hopefully Burns or Vasquez fights Brother next, the winner will hold the WBO, IBF , WBC and most likely Ring Title.

 

If he can comfortably make 135, then he has all the reasons to continue fighting there.

I will say, though, that mentioning heights of fighters to justify where they should be fighting is ******ed. He may well be 5ft 7 or whatever, but try looking at his in-ring weights. He comes in at around 148, if I'm correct?

 

He has plenty of time to move up after he cleans out 135. He's only 22 years old

As for the question at hand, I have no problem with Broner finishing business at 135lbs before moving up to 140lbs.

 

Broner is the fighter people love to hate and watch in hopes he gets his ass kicked. That said, he is clearly too talented to be fighting cans any longer.

 

Doesn't have to move up yet.

Winner of Vazquez v Burns and Abril v Bogere are both decent fights that should offer a difference in challenges.

There are people making threads in Broners favour claiming he should move up (to get a challenge) as well as people trying to slate him (hoping he gets sparked) so it goes both ways anyhow.

 

Like fighting legitimate competition?
