Why demand Adrien Broner move up when he can comfortably make 135lbs?

look, Broner said himself he was thinking about 140 so you cant blame people for wanting him to move up. Not to mention any boxing fan can see 140 has some prominent fun names. Its a no brainer.

i think the real question is. Why do Broner fans NOT want him to move up?

I see nothing wrong with the kid staying at 135lbs and cleaning out the division. DeMarco is legit, as would be either Burns or Vasquez. Linares would be a soldi win as well.

After Ward beat Kessler, you heard the criers come out blaming a corrupt ref for letting Ward headbutt him and all the other BS. Ward beats and embarrasses AA, oh Ward bet someone who Froch beat he won't do that against Froch, why won't he leave the US. Ward outclasses Froch, oh **** Ward headbuttig and spoiling, he won't leave the US. He needs to fight Dawson at 175. He fights Dawson at 168, oh he weight drained Dawson (even though Dawson is the one who wanted the fight). Another funny one was that Ward was afraid of Bute, atleast until Froch destroyed him, now they are back to saying that Ward willl duck the winner of the Bute/Kessler fight or needs to move up to 175 and fight someone "for real"

Respecting Broner in ring has nothing to do with his persona, but his ability and talent demonstrated in the ring.

The only people saying he needs to move up are the usual suspects.

 

Because he claims awesomeness while fighting midgets.

 

Because other than the winner of Vasquez vs Burns there are no other relevant fight for Broner at 135 and he himself has been talking of fighting at 140.

 

This is the dumbest argument ever. A lot of guys can drill down in weight, that doesn't mean they should. He should move up because there are better / more competitive fights at 140. It's not rocket science. Who else is he going to fight at 135? It's a dead division.

He's clearly a big guy at the weight ; 2 of his last 4 opponents looked half his size. He's fought at 140 before. There's no reason for him not too move up.

 

There are more chalanging fights for him at 140 and 147 than there are at 135.

 

When Juan Diaz had beat everyone at 135, had all the trinkets and what not, how many threads popped up saying it is time for him to go to 140?

and at the end of the day Broner said so himself that if burns or vasquez don't want to know he will just have to move on up to get a challenge.

 

There is a difference between moving up in weight when you are ready and other claiming you have to move up in weight to "prove something" to losers who just want to see a person at a disadvantage so they can gloat if they lose.

 

I think he should stay at 135 for the time being. Have him fight the Burns v Vasquez and Abril v Bogere winners. It's rare to see a fighter clean out their division these days.
