going around on his trainer's shoulders and celebrating and beating his chest.

Because it was suppose to be his last fight and he had a lot of fans there and wanted to thank them for supporting him and give them one last chance to cheer him.

brazil needs a new fighter to come out with a never-say-die attitude to rid themselves of the reputation freitas left behind.

    Are you brazilian ?
I'm brazilian and I and most of the brazilians are glad to what Popó did in the ring during his career.
A man who was still sleeping on the floor one week before becoming world champion.
I accept the fact he quit against Corrales because he was truly hurt and being knocked down round after round.
