http://www.theguardian.com/news/dat...asses-would-premier-league-footballers-fit-in The league has everything from 18 players who could only fight as heavyweights (mostly goalkeepers) to one sub-59kg super featherweight - Manchester United starlet Jesse Lingard, in case you were wondering. We cannot see the young midfielder squaring up to Manny Pacquiao any time soon though. Its unsurprising that the cruiserweight division is the one with the largest number of players - it does have the biggest gap between its weight limit (90.7kg) and that of the one below (light heavyweight). To give you an idea of who would fit in that class, Evander Holyfield and Britains David Haye have both been cruiserweight champions in the past. The figures tend to vary by playing position and in some cases quite dramatically. The heaviest position by median weight is goalkeeper at 83kg. Given that they tend to be much taller than the average player too, its natural that their weight would follow suit. Like I said earlier log off troll:hi::deal
LHWs and CWs? No dude just no. Soccer players are tiny, some maybe tall but most don't weigh 190 lbs +
Neymar weight 141 - without cutting weight rooney 174 and his tubby - he could lose 20 pounds if he was in shape falcoa 170 - again not in amazing shape gareth bale 162 - doesnt cut weight, easily a welteweight van persie 157 iniesta 143 messi 147 ya real cruiserweights there
America lost a generation of HWs to KFC, McDonalds and Taco Bell Too fat, too comfortable, the hunger is gone Thankfully we still have rugged English warriors like Joshua, Fury, Whyte, Haye etc to save the division :yep
Thats not true. The best player in the world is 147lbs. Most outfield players are around 70-75kgs, which is middle weight, and kinda makes sense, because its "middle" weight. You don't have to be big to be a footballer.
NFL question for you, do you ever wonder why teams that USE no huddle offense tend to steam roll and dominate on the offense? It's because most D-lines are out of shape and can't keep up! Then they fake injuries and get a time out.
that without cutting zero weight you idiot them guys get weighed in clothes after eating there breakfast lmfao, log off you ret.ard
Let's take Deontay Wilder for an example: Heavyweight, didn't start boxing until he was 20 years old, and wasn't planning on concentrating on boxing. Was planning on going to college for football/basketball. The only reason he boxed was because he needed to due to his daughter's condition. Yes, our best heavyweight athletes are not going into boxing. I'd argue none of them are, and the only heavyweights you'll get is somebody who didn't make it in another sport first, or special circumstances like Wilder. And none of them will have started boxing at an early age. So there you have it: An American heavyweight who didn't start boxing until the age of 20, is a top ranked guy in the HW division. HW division is weak, period. Not just Americans, but in general.
the obly cruiserweights would be the keepers occasional defensed. 13 to 14 stone. most outfield plyers 10-12 stone. for sure.
yup and that them weighing in clothes after breakfast, these boys if boxers would be a lot lighter, thats there walking around weight doesnt broner walk around at 175?
Muppet. Just because Cruiserweight has the most people in the class. All the other classes are middleweight or below. So the average guy is smaller than cruiserweight. Learn to work an average. Mean vs Median. Also, most of those 90kg plus players will be Goal keeper...ie to fill the goal, the ideal hight is 6 ft 5. And central defenders, tall to head the ball away. Most offensive midfield players are around 5ft 6 to 6ft. So welters to middles.
